I thought they didn't conduct interviews too. However, I know one person who got an invite for an interview this year. Let's hope for the best. Mid march would probably be the moment of truth!

10mins is really short indeed! I read about that too. It seems to be a very general conversation about work etc. All the best for the interview. When is it scheduled for? I've also applied for CMU MIIPS, and uPenn IPD. How about you?

Hard to gauge how it went. Unless you know what they're looking for, you can't really tell. It's a psych evaluation to see if you fit in. They'll get done with all the interviews and roll out the results on April 15.

I totally agree. They told me that now the weird questions will start, but it tbh seemed like just another psych evaluation to me ! But again, yes nothing that you can prepare for, it's all spontaneous.

Can Any of you who had given the interview tell something about it? What questions were asked? I know they would've been abstract and an evaluation of your core personality, but it would be great if someone can share their experience in detail.

Well, Congratulations ! MIIPS is one of the oldest courses in IPD. Way older than MIT IDM. Numerous forums and websites rank CMU MIIPS better than MIT IDM since its more mature and with a better alumni network. But again, if access to MIT resources is what you want, you should root for this. Either way, it's a win win for you. I unfortunately missed its deadline.

Hey, I've applied for the MIT IDM fall 2020 in business category as well. They started reviewing the applications post mid February. I guess we could expect the interviews by mid march I guess. I hope we keep each other posted on the interview calls.
