  1. Congratulations!! How exciting! Yes I have received my fin aid info but it came about 2-3 weeks after my admission decision. Are you leaning towards a program yet?
  2. Oh no I think it's totally reasonable to call them and ask when you should be expecting an admissions decision as you have other schools to respond too etc...
  3. Sorry just saw this message! No I have not heard of anyone else yet, but that's surprising that it's taking so long! Any word yet?
  4. Yes! I can imagine they'll be coming out next week
  5. Thank you!! The email came by complete surprise as I told myself not even to think about it until next week. I'm not sure yet which track (7 or 8 semesters) but I applied to PMHC and will apply to their M.S. degree program which is 8 semesters anyways! L&C was my first choice so I gambled a bit and only applied there, so glad that worked out
  6. Just received my letter of acceptance to Lewis & Clark's Professional Mental Health Counseling Program!!
  7. Congrats on your acceptance! That's a great program and you should be proud of yourself! Haha I get what you mean, what I meant by diversity was really diversity in our experiences and what we can bring to the table. These are programs where we learn loadsss about each other. And yes, I heard that from one of the current students during our Q&A after the group interview. They just expressed that it is a puzzle admissions has to put together, and getting in or not does not reflect your ability to be a good counselor (which I agree with!) They said sometimes you have to apply multiple times (blah I know) but if this is your goal its simply a matter of when it happens not if it will. Now back to nail biting and waiting! haha
  8. I understand the nerves, I definitely have them too! In my group there was an even split (6 for each) but I would imagine the number of applicants to each program to be relatively proportional to the spots available in each one. Unfortunately, (and what I keep telling myself is) if we have been invited to interview they see potential in us to succeed in the program, after that its a puzzle for admissions to create an incoming class that is diverse and would work well as a group. So it's basically about whether we as individuals would fit in with the group at large but it's not personal(?) if that makes sense.
  9. I've heard 1 in 3 of total applications so I think getting an interview is actually the hardest part! If that's true congrats to everyone for getting this far :) While it is competitive, we also can account for some kind of yield rate given that not everyone who is offered admittance will accept. Also the interviews were for both PMHC and PMHCA which have 40 and 25 spots respectively for each program. Maybe I'm just being hopeful but I don't think the numbers are as bad as we think ?
  10. Hey :) I attended the Lewis & Clark PMHC interview on Tuesday and there were 12 people in our group interview. I can imagine that coronavirus might also impact numbers for in person interviews!
