  1. Can you please also critique and rate the essay out of 6? Thanks in advance. Question- Although sound moral judgment is an important characteristic of an effective leader, it is not as important as a leader’s ability to maintain the respect of his or her peers. Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the statement and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position, you should consider ways in which the statement might or might not hold true and explain how these considerations shape your position. My Response- Although both respect for peers and sound moral judgement are important characteristics of a good leader, respect for peers has a slight upper-edge in deciding a good leader. A good leader must always engage himself completely in the activities of the team. He/She must ensure in maintaining the united collaboration within the team and equally value the thoughts, ideas and opinions of every peer. He/She must encourage innovative idea and try to relate to every team members point of view. He/She must connect to the emotion of the peers in order to understand their expectations and both personal and professional goals and try his best to align the professional goals of his peers with their personal objectives. If a peer commits a mistake, a good leader must understand the reason behind the mistake commited by the concerned person instead of making hasty, uninformed decisions which might have an impact on the individual peer's career or affect the unity of the team. It is posible that lack of proper training/experience, lack of alternate better decisions or peer's personal problems might have resulted in the mistake. However, it is equally important the sound moral judgements are made to ensure proper functionality of the team. For example, it is important to protect intellectual property, security and confidential data of the project and strict action is taken if they are compromised. Thus, to conclude a good leader not only respect his/her peers but also ensures sound moral judgements.
