I emailed SYK personally because I was tired of waiting for the graduate coordinator and she got back to me in less than 5 minutes. She said that I wasn't offered a spot and that was that. What I don't understand is why the graduate coordinator was dragging it out for so long and not just being direct with me. I was upset for a bit but I am going to school where I can still achieve my research goals, so it all worked out at the end!

does anyone have any updates from UT-Austin, regardless if you were interviewed or not? I emailed the graduate coordinator on Thursday about my application status, as well as mentioned that I have other offers, and he just apologized for the delay and said he would check in with the committee. POI is SYK and ELB if it matters at all.

I mean its only Monday and I got it at 11ish this morning. Maybe people will start hearing back throughout the week

I got the email first. I wasn't frequently checking the portal beforehand so maybe the portal is updated before the email?

I just got a rejection email from them about an hour ago :') Hopefully you get better news than me!

I had an interview yesterday with Mizzou state and the director of admissions said that official letters should be out by next week at the latest.

Has anyone heard back from UT Austin? I have seen that a few have been invited for interviews or waitlisted and I was hoping to get an email this week. I emailed the graduate coordinator a few weeks ago and he said that we just get notified "right after New Years" but I haven't gotten anything. At this point, I don't care if I am rejected or waitlisted, I just want to know my application status :(((

@Susietxdo you mind saying which professor? I haven't heard a peep so I am kinda worried over there ?

I have applied to both masters and PhD programs. The two PhD programs I applied for were UT Austin and Arizona State University. I got waitlisted at ASU and someone from UT Austin said I should hear about decisions around New Years.

I have been searching all over this site for fellow HDFS applicants but no luck. I wanted to get this started so we get to talking about applications and the process overall!

yeah, pretty much! I want to focus on child psychology so I'm looking into child welfare/mental health concentrations as well as some that I can tailor to child psychology. I have some schools that I am not 100% on yet but I am for sure applying to Smith, University of Denver, Case Western Reserve, BU, WashU in St. Louis, UChicago and UMichigan.

hi! I'm looking at schools right now too and I'm currently making a list, though all the schools seem to blurring together. Do you mind explaning why you're applying to the schools you listed?
