I thought about this more. Not only did they deny the dates meaning anything, but we made them aware of a major flaw in their system and they chose to do nothing about it.

See, as a member of the December Gang, my only glimmer of hope is that they delay for a month and everyone who gets it has already accepted another offer....maybe then the dishonorable mentions such as myself might find some success

I'm gonna take this time to plug an awesome project that is trying to bring young students (middle/high school) into STEM fields by giving them a place to publish research! It's an awesome way to use our knowledge and skills to develop the next generation. It's called Journal of Emerging Investigators (https://www.emerginginvestigators.org/) and was started by a group of researchers at Harvard Medical School. They are always looking for volunteers to review papers. It's super easy and is a good opportunity to add a 'service' component to your CV...

Per my last conversation with the DoD this morning (not just ARO, but AFOSR and ONR as well), they are still aiming for decision release today.

I would, but as a current Ph.D. student, I lack the leverage to emphasize the necessity of releasing decisions today.
Also I'm a coward.

Emailed the PMO and got a message from the NDSEG saying "I don't have any further information available. The DoD hasn't released the decisions, and I cannot promise the time they will release. We will get them out as soon as possible after they release the decisions."
My guess is the ARO, specifically anything decision science/math related is probably the hang-up as they are working crazy hours for COVID response.
