Just got my results from my department, waitlisted ? But first time applying, looking forward to seeing my scores when they go on the extranet.

Good morning everyone, fingers crossed for everyone still eagerly waiting for their results!

The way it works at my university is that PhD students receive a 'base' funding of around $25k (unless they win an external scholarship), but its broken up like this: Faculty Scholarship: $9k TA/RA: $8k Tuition & Fees: $8k The TA and RA wages, while 'guaranteed', are paid by the hour and there's no real minimum you can earn, if you only TA or RA for $5k that's what you're going to see instead of the $8k you would have originally been informed about. You don't actually see the Tuition and Fees money, its billed and paid direction, plus minus zero. So your real takehome is $17k, assuming you work enough. You got fucked on reporting your hours, and their strict policy. If you got a contract for $25k that means the $25k was allocated and your supervisor fucked up by only 'spending' 1/5th of his/her budget, money that isn't exactly going to be sitting around again next year. You should have maxed out your time sheets for every hour you were eligible to be paid.

Seems my university SGS officer has information on some students but not others, even within the same program/department/year and committee. Seems they are just as out of the loop as I am, as a factor of my adjudicator(s) not uploading the documents to the extranet.

What changed about the evaluation criteria?

It sounds like Committee 3 is entering data as we speak.. thats two in a short space of time.

This is the first C3 notification I've seen in this thread, feeling hopeful for a result today.

If that's true, so help me god. Realistically are they bound by strict office hours though? Not like anyone is actually at an office anyways. I imagine the purpose of the digital system was to accommodate for this.

Has anyone heard anything back from Committee 3? I did a search through this thread and seemingly little.

Three of my peers got logins today and received results. I got my login this morning but alone without results.

There are people in my cohort that have received results, and others who still have not including myself. So it's more arbitrary than that, whatever it is.

Watching Twitter has been a bad idea... people sharing SSHRC wins every 5 mins. It's killing me!!

I also got the access email at 7:35 (UofT), but no results posted yet.

Update: I am now getting through to the Home page (albeit empty), as opposed to 'Access Denied' a few hours earlier. Still no emails about getting Extranet access or results, I got the email/password through Password recovery.

That sounds odd, I thought you needed to apply through a Canadian institution to be considered for CGS-D aka Mega SSHRC. But regular SSHRC can be applied to American institutions if you have a Canadian undergrad or masters. SSHRC Doctoral Fellowships are tenable at any recognized institution in Canada or abroad. For the fellowship to be held abroad, the award holder must have completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree at a Canadian postsecondary institution. For award holders who do not meet this requirement, the fellowships are tenable only at recognized Canadian postsecondary institutions.

I received my notification of 2019-2020 OGS at UofT on July 2nd.

I figure at this point I'll probably hear back from my Department before I do from the official system.

Are you sure you're using the same email you used to apply for SSHRC? I reset my password a second time, no change to access.

I did that, and this is what I get when I try to do that.

If there is one thing we've learned from this thread is that there is no apparent pattern at all, so there's no reason to believe that!

From my observations, nobody has received new login information today. And people who received login information yesterday, found their results posted approx. 24 hours later.

I think it's also because the Joseph-Armand Bombardier CGS-D favors people who apply going into year 2.

It lets me generate a password with my email address, but is telling me that access is denied.
