Anyone secure an offer from a faculty yet from JHU? From my interviews theyve said rotational spots are very competitive due to department funding. So the best chance is to get admitted as a direct join through a faculty offer from these interviews.

Sorry, I am still skeptical to release specific information this early in the cycle. However I can tell you that I am interested in biomedical imaging.

I interviewed with a Duke PI on Tuesday. The group said they are very early in their application process and Definitely will be interviewing more people. But since Duke is a direct join program, the slots for interviews will be dependent on the PI.

Hahaha I totally feel you on that. I realized that as well, As I was applying to some programs. I really wished I would branched out to electrical engineering as a lot of the research I’m interested in is closely aligned to photonics.

I got an interview as well. Def my top choice. What concentration are you interested in? I’m wondering if they’ll let you know who the faculty are that interview you.

No idea. I had emailed this person like a 1.5 months ago, and they responded just recently. Apparently they haven’t even seen my application, but just the CV I attached to the original email. They also said that they were unable to find my application in the pool, so they would be reaching out to the admissions officer to find it. I found this weird because my application is indicated as submitted on the portal.

Hi, I have some Zoom meetings with potential PIs I have reached out to in Biomedical Engineering, specifically, cancer imaging. Does anyone have any advice on how to prepare for these meetings? Will they be more casual?

Hi, I am applying to PhD programs in Biomedical Engineering. I want to cite my papers in my Statement of Purpose. This was advised by my current research advisor. How should I do so, I dont want to keep bothering him. Currently, I have: Then I have a references page at the bottom. Are there other ways to do so? Hi everyone, I am looking into applying to top computational neuroscience programs and I was wondering if I should take the GRE? Almost all of the schools I am applying to no longer require the GRE. Will it hurt if I apply without a GRE score? Or should I just take it? Thanks!
