  1. Hi Wasp101, So sorry to hear that you did not get the scholarship. That's unfortunate. I also applied for NOHA too, but haven't received any news from them yet. When did you get their response? Wondering if you could share a little bit about your academic background and qualification, your work experience? I'm afraid that the scholarship window is kind of closed right now. It is usually from Nov to Feb. Maybe you can apply for DAAD Germany in June but it is for the next year academic.
  2. I came to school a little bit late than other people, not a typical/traditional student at all. In Vietnam I have 2 degrees in Accounting and Business Administration. In America, I have also have two degrees one associate and one bachelor in Human Services. The Bachelor's degree I just graduated in 2019. I could not find any info about Poland government scholarship, can you please send me a link? Thanks,
  3. Sure, always willing to share with you guys even we could compete to each other. lol. just kidding. Denmark and Netherlands are government scholarship. There is no separate application, you apply along with universities admission you choose. look up more info on the university website. it also applies to CEU, Central European University, you can find all info on their website. I haven’t applied for them yet because there is application fee ($200, $40, and $150). So I wait until i know the DAAD result and then apply. lets me know if you have any further questions.
  4. That's an excellent tip, Timothy but we passed the Application window already. Now all we can do is wait and hope. I don't know much about Willy Brandt's requirements but it seems they receive a lot of applications each year. What working requirement are they asking? UDE requires one year related work experience and Magdebug requires at least 3 months studying or working abroad.
  5. Thanks for sharing Nas25. Indeed, you have a great profile. No doubt you were elected for the scholarship. Yes, I applied for Magdebug and UDE. I'm particularly interested in Democracy, Human Rights, and social justice that's why I applied for those universities. My background is Human Services (Social Work) and Business Administration. I recently worked for a non-profit company for almost two years with some regional achievement awards for my efforts of helping the community. My two letter of recommendation came from my supervisors. Before that I have more than 5 years experiences in Business. Currently, I have been unemployed for a year now due to relocation and the coronavirus I guess. Or maybe because I decided to change my career completely to Human Rights path so it is hard to find a decent job. My bachelor's degree is Community and Human Services with GPA 3.91/4.0. I don't give myself too much hopes up because I've never been luck with scholarships at all. Besides DAAD, I'm planing to apply for Denmark, CEU, Hollands in Public Affairs, Globalization and Development, and Public Administration and Politics. All of them is free tuition, housing subsidy, monthly stipend. There is one in British which is opening for application right now (Chevening) but I'm not interested much in British education. Besides that, do you know any other similar European scholarships for master's programs?
  6. Wow, that was ultimately unfortunate. I'm so sorry to hear about both Willy, CEU, and the visa thing. I hope this year will be different for you. Please keep trying and everything will fall into places. I know it is a little bit much personal to ask and you have every right to answer no. I just want to know how good applicants are to pass the first round and get to the shortlist as well as the interview stage. If I was so behind academically, I would move on and stop keeping my hopes up. Could you please share with us about your GPA, major, work experiences, who did you choose as your references, and what did they ask you during the interview? (I think only Willy have interviews, not DE) One of my reference confused it was a hiring company, so she sent a letter of recommendation to encourage them to hire me instead of Scholarship evaluation. Again, I completely understand if you feel uncomfortable to share it, no hard feeling.
  7. I have applied for DE too. Hope we both get it bud. Did you apply DAAD last year? Any experience regarding CEU master could you share with us? I'm planing to apply to CEU also.
  8. My background is BA in Community and Human Services. It's not entirely related to Public Policy but I think it depends on how well you did on your motivation essay. Since we are not initially required to submit our application directly to DAAD website, I presume that anyone, who is asked to submit the application to DAAD after the selection committee meets in Oct or Nov, will have a high chance to get the scholarship. You think?
  9. Well! The sooner we know the result the better then. I hope the others 7 schools will notify the result soon like Willy Brandt. A silly question, how would they examine our application? What are the most criteria ?
  10. Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg and University Duisburg Essen - From Vietnamese Applicant. I think we will know the result soon, maybe Oct or Nov.
