I though I would share this: I teamed up with a colleague of mine (same doctoral program) to prepare our postdoc applications. We reviewed each other's application in some detail. I thought hers was better than mine, plus she finished her PhD faster than I did. Publications were roughly equivalent. Same committee, obviously. I got funded, she didn't. I was convinced it was going to be the other way around.

Well, I did just that and was able to enter the extranet. And, lo and behold, there was a decision letter in there waiting for me. Still no email from SSHRC though! I got the funding! Committee 5 Applications: 130 Fellowships Offered: 26 (20.0%) Fellowships Not Offered: 104 (80.0%) Rank: 21/130

I think so. I was SSHRC-funded during my PhD, but it's now expired. When I try to log in the extranet, I get an "Access Denied" message.

Congrats to all who have been successful! Has anyone else not even received the follow-up email with the login info?

Plan B? a hodgepodge of short-term research contracts...

I should say: I would prefer a single tier with a greater number of recipients, or the same number of recipients but a higher dollar amount.

Personally, I'm in favour of a single tier of doctoral/postdoctoral awards, and a greater number of recipients.

Anyone else feel like you've purchased a loto ticket months ago and now you get to see if you won? Like, you know you probably won't win, but it was nice to dream about it for a few months? ?

Committee 6 applicant over here (law). Do we know if results will mailed in or if we will be notified by email? Good luck everyone!!
