  1. As decisions roll out, please be mindful of your thinking patterns. It can be so easy to tie all of your worth to a decision that is now out of your control, so please remember to practice self care. Your worth is not defined by this decision. Each and every one of y'all in this forum will become outstanding professionals in the field regardless of what decision you receive in the coming days/weeks. Please take care of yourselves. ❤️
  2. A friend of mine has the last initial B and she hasn’t heard anything ?
  3. I'm so happy to hear that decisions are beginning to roll out!!! ? Best of luck to everyone
  4. This happened to me a few weeks back. I just refreshed the page a few times and it changed back to normal. I've also heard that people have been logging in through a different web browsers and that seems to have helped as well.
  5. My dad and I made a friendly wager on when decisions will go out. He wagered that yesterday would be the day, so now I get a Starbucks coffee. What drink should I get folks? ?
  6. For everyone curious regarding UofT's plan regarding COVID and virtual/in-person learning, on March 17th they posted the 1-year and 2-year course timetables for Fall 2021. As of right now, it appears that everything is listed as in-person. I've linked the 2-year timetable for Fall 2021 here: https://socialwork.utoronto.ca/programs/all-timetables/year-1-of-the-2-year-msw-full-time-program-fall-2021-and-winter-2022/ However, they've basically stated that this is all subject to change: "Ontario’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve. Changes will likely occur as the province and its municipalities adjust to new data about the virus. In these circumstances, please be advised that the manner of delivery of courses, co-curricular opportunities, programs, and services is subject to change, in accordance with university policies. The University thanks its students, faculty, and staff for their flexibility during these challenging times as we work together to maintain the standards of excellence that are the hallmark of the University."
  7. I'm really hoping we hear from UofT this week! If things work out as hoped, it'll take time to find housing/roommates and figure out living situations, especially during COVID with limited viewings.
  8. Hey! When you have a social work degree you can also practice psychotherapy under the OCSWSSW! So, a degree in social work will open both doors for you I have also heard that MSW degrees generally open up more career doors than MA degrees, but I that's just what I've heard from peers so I can't promise that that's fully accurate. I hope this helps!
  9. I have a feeling today will be our last chance to hear from UofT before next week because of the holiday this weekend. Fingers crossed!
  10. Can I just say your post radiated such great energy ? Honestly, everyone in this forum gives off social worker vibes so I have all the faith in each and every one of y'all ❤️
  11. From what I hear from conversation with current students and exploring uWin’s website, it seems to be more community/advocacy based! I’m not sure if it offers a clinical aspect so I can’t speak to that.
  12. I haven't received any other offers but I'm holding out for UofT. I want to pursue clinical social work so out of the two schools, UofT better aligns with my personal goals.
  13. I just rejected my offer to the uWindsor two-year MSW. It's definitely an odd situation to be in to reject an offer, but I'm happy that someone will now move up from the waitlist
  14. I have to accept or decline my uWindsor two-year offer by Monday. I was hoping to hear back from UofT before then so that I could take time to weigh my options, but I'm not sure if that's gonna happen! I wonder if any decisions will come out over the weekend or if decisions only come out on business days. I'm definitely going to be checking Acorn/SGS all weekend anyways haha. Anyone else also facing expiring offers before hearing from other schools?
  15. Hi folks! I've been chatting with a few folks who received their U of T two-year decisions in different ways last year. For some Acorn changed first, and for others SGS changed first. I'd recommend checking both daily just in case!
  16. Best of luck to everyone waiting on UofT two-year MSW decisions over the next week or so!! I'll post here as soon as I receive a decision
  17. Hey everyone! I know this is a stressful time so I hope you’re all prioritizing self care and giving your mind a break (always, but especially now). I thought I’d share an article about managing stress while waiting for acceptances. It’s meant for undergrad acceptances but it can be generalized to grad school apps as well Take care, folks. https://www.psychalive.org/wait-acceptance-letter-cope-stress/
  18. Thanks for your reply! I hope that's the case again this year
  19. I'm really curious to know when U of T's regular track decisions will come out. I remember reading somewhere on this forum that admissions said they would be releasing decisions mid-April, but I've also heard folks saying that previous years have heard in the last half of March. This waiting game is rough! My fingers are crossed for everyone
  20. Thank you! I got an email from uWin saying that a decision had been made and they directed me to check eGAS
  21. Just found out that I've been accepted to the University of Windsor's two-year MSW Best of luck to everyone as we begin to hear back!
  22. Thank you! If you don’t mind me asking, have you accepted your offer of admission or are you waiting to hear back from other schools?
  23. That’s certainly reassuring! Congratulations on your acceptance!!
  24. Ok, I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one in this situation! I've seen on the forum that quite a few people have been waitlisted for the program but I haven't seen any acceptances yet (I could have missed something). I'm curious as to why the status change date has changed but not the application status! Interesting for sure...
  25. Hey folks! I've applied to the two-year on-campus MSW program at uWindsor and I noticed today that my Status Change Date says today (March 5th) but my application status still says "In Process." Is this the case for anyone else?
