  1. Thank you!! I don't mind at all! So we must have been in the same info session (March 1st, Monday). I applied for the Mechanisms of Disease track and opted for the interviews on Tuesday March 2nd. There they told us that only 8-10 people for Mechanisms of Disease would get accepted, so idk why they were interviewing 43 people (I counted the number of applicants on zoom on Monday 3/1). I got the offer the morning of this past Saturday (3/13) and their virtual revisit day is this upcoming Friday (3/19)--so I don't know how likely it is that they'll be accepting more people. Somebody I know who interviewed in the last week of January (M&I track) just got their rejection today a few hours ago, so maybe they're finally taking a closer look at those not offered admission to determine if they'll be rejected or waitlisted(?) Good luck to you!
  2. I got accepted to NYU Vilcek!!!! It was the only school that gave me an interview and literally all other schools rejected me but I don't care anymore because I am getting my PhD!!!!
  3. I'm assuming that that's the case. But, you never know I guess. For myself, I'm just seeing the no reply as a rejection but still would like to have an actual update from them.
  4. Weird that they don't just reject everyone all at one especially at this time in the application process. But thanks for the reply! I hope you get into other schools!
  5. Ah okay, glad to know I'm not in this boat alone. Thanks! I hope NYU works out, if not then it's no grad school for me (unless being on the waitlist for BU actually means anything). Hopefully things work out for you too!
  6. Has anyone who hasn't interviewed for Harvard BBS and Yale BBS heard back yet?
  7. Thanks for the reply! NYU is cutting it pretty close, but good to know they just haven't forgotten about me as I suspected haha. If you don't mind me asking, can you share what your interview experience was like for NYU Vilcek? It's the only interview invitation I got (applied to 10 schools) and I'm super nervous since my only chance in getting accepted to grad school is to get into NYU Med (lol I know).
  8. For anyone who has interviewed with NYU Vilcek, when did you get your interview itinerary? My interviews are in 2 weeks and I haven't gotten any itinerary from them, but of course will reach out to them next week if I haven't heard from them already. Just curious for how close to the interviews NYU sends this info since I would like to skim through publications of the faculty I'll interview with.
  9. I heard back from them on December 23rd with an interview invitation for the first week of March (they gave me the option of March 1st and 2nd or March 1st and 5th). The track I chose was Mechanisms of Disease. I believe this is the last set of interviews since I know others received interview invites for January and February. So maybe since it's still a month away they will still be inviting people(?).
  10. Can anyone that interviewed for NYU Vilcek please share what that experience was like? Did they say when a decision would be made? I don't interview till early March so I'm thinking I'm in the very last round of interviews and they'll probably only select a few people after that interview week, if they have already accepted people from the Jan/Feb interviews.
  11. I was rejected from UW Immunology on January 12. It was a generic rejection email.
  12. I think usually (based on past results for stanford biosciences in gradcafe) stanford biosciences interview invites usually come out all at once regardless of track. Plus, they almost always send the invites when they say they will (second week of January). For the past few years, invites have gone out towards the end of the second week of January, so I'm hoping they'll be consistent and we'll find out later this week. Good luck!
  13. Sure, no problem! I submitted the application October 18th. Yeah, I think it's weird that they send them out at different times. The interview dates they offered me were either March 1st and 2nd or March 1st and 5th. So given the late interview dates, maybe they'll still send out invites into January(?). One of my recommender's submitted their letter on November 25th, so my application wasn't entirely complete till then. Hope this helps.
  14. I got an interview today from NYU Vilcek!! My first choice program is Mechanism of Disease, if that helps anyone. I thought I wouldn't get an invitation since so many other programs I applied to already sent out invites. Good luck to everyone! Hoping you get that invite you're not even expecting as I did today!!
  15. I also applied to UW-Immunology and BU-PiBS and haven't heard from either of them. BU-PiBS usually sends out invites just before Christmas and UW-Immunology sends invites the week of new year's. So we'll find out by the end of the month!
  16. I feel your stress! Can totally relate, I'm 0/10 so far.
  17. NYU and BU haven't sent invites out yet--I'm getting nervous about these too!
  18. I applied to UCSF (BMS)! They haven't sent anything out yet but I think they will by this week. I don't know this definitely because someone told me, I am just basing it off of previous years' timelines good luck!
  19. Of those schools I've only applied to NYU Vilcek. Historically, NYU sends out their interview invites by the end of this week--so if we get an interview we'll hear back then. Good luck!
  20. So I am not sure if the person that posted that they got an interview invite actually got it from BBS. There's another person who said they got an invite from Harvard BMS-Immunology, so idk if that's even really bbs too(?) Harvard does have a separate Immunology PhD program that is apart from BBS, so I figured maybe it's that. Historically, Harvard BBS invites come out all on the same day which is why I was skeptical when only one person posted.
  21. I applied to UPenn-CAMB-Cancer Biology and have not gotten an interview. Hopefully they come out this week for this track!
  22. Hi everyone! I've been a lurker for a while and figured what better time but now to join in on the anxious wait for interview invites! I applied to UPenn BGS, Yale BBS, Harvard BBS, stanford biosciences, BU PiBS, NYU Vilcek, JHU Immunology, UChicago Immunology, UWashington Immunology, UCSF BMS and hoping to do research in cancer immunology. Based on previous years, CAMB has usually sent invities over a 4-5 days period. So I'm still hoping to get an invite and think invites will by the latest come out by this Wednesday. Good luck!
