Has anyone made any decisions about which program they will attend?

How would you all go about rejecting an offer?

Mine was PhD! I haven’t heard anything since the interview. I wonder if they sent out decisions for that as well. Congrats on your acceptance!!

Has any one that applied to Ball State heard back yet? We were supposed to hear back this week and I’m getting antsy!

GUYS!!!!!! I got into one of my top programs today! Tomorrow’s my birthday, so this is the best early birthday present. Eeeeek! Congrats to everyone who has received acceptances. Thank you all for keeping me sane haha.

Do you all think it’s appropriate to reach out to schools we haven’t heard from or should I just wait it out?

Interviews are definitely tiring, especially if they are all day long events. I thought zoom interviews would be awkward but it’s really not bad! I’ve had a positive experience so far. Just make sure you know why you want a PhD (if that is the type of program you are applying for). Know your career goals. I often was asked why I wanted to attend that particular program. Also, be able to describe your research interests, at least in a general way. If you know who you’re interviewing with, try to look at at least the abstracts of their recent papers so you can bring up some talking points! Good luck, you’re gonna be great

I have my first interview this week!! How are interviews going for you all? I’m getting so excited and nervous for it!

I’m nervous about schools I haven’t heard back from, too! Eek!! I’m currently a school psych and have an EdS. It makes me nervous because I’m not coming straight out of undergrad! I think your experience as a teacher will only help you and make you an even stronger applicant. Teachers have an understanding of children and education that is so valuable! I know people who have went on to school psychology PhD programs successfully with so many different types of degrees. Don’t worry! (Easier said than done haha)

I just got an email from UGA and I got so excited...it was just saying my application is under review. UGH ? just had to share my frustration with y’all lol.

My interviews are all one day long. I’m just going to wear a nice neutral solid print blouse with a blazer! I think your idea is good!

Still haven’t heard from a couple schools. Will they make us wait until April 15th?!

The same thing happened to me for UGA! I wouldn’t worry too much about it. Curious though, was it an invite to the big interview day or a shorter informal interview?

Sure! It is SF. I’m sure they have. I think they might be contacting people sporadically. It seems like they won’t be contacting for formal interviews until later in January.

Hey everyone! I know I’m a little late to the party. I applied to four PhD programs: Ball State University of Kentucky University of Georgia Indiana University-Bloomington I received interview invites for Ball State and University of Kentucky. I had a kind of preliminary interview with a professor at UGA and they will be sending formal interview invites out sometime after January 4th, apparently. Haven’t heard from Indiana university, but it looks like they may have sent out invites? So that doesn’t sound great for me lol. I’m excited though!! Congrats to everyone else with interviews too. We got this!!
