  1. so you’re implying that the interview is for the ones shortlisted for a scholarship? i think in past call-outs it wasn’t the case, some got full/partial funding without interview. btw, what makes you say that?
  2. hey there ? no, i haven’t gotten any email either for the interview, scholarship or offer... still waiting ?
  3. Damn, that sucks i know that feeling, i was also accepted at the University of Amsterdam, but with no funding... thanks ?
  4. thank you very much!! i noticed most of the applicants here are for MPP that’s why i was a little worried about the procedure for MIA and whatnot. i suppose in the same letter they tell you about financial help, amirite?
  5. hahaha i know, the waiting is the worst. idk how they arrange the interviews, also i’ve been looking for a reference or someone that had studied at LKY here in mexico or latinamerica but no luck yet.
  6. best of luck luck. still nothing for me you happen to know if the interview is like a requirement/filter to be accepted? like if i don’t receive an interview i’m automatically out?
  7. Anybody from MIA heard anything? I know that, due to covid-19 all the procedures were postponed... but the anxiety is killing me ?
  8. It’s not just expensive.. it’s very very expensive xD Ohh i see, yeah, generally the deposit is the last step of the “admissions “ procedure... well, hopefully we hear some good news soon so you don’t miss any deadline. cheers ?
  9. Yeah i know, the waiting is the worst. I’m in the same boat, but waiting only on one uni (UvA), but with all this coronavirus situation, i won’t be surprised if they take another month or so to release results. Just accept the offer if you already have one, then at the end you can choose whatever works for you. I’m more worried about scholarships, didn’t notice NUS was four to fivefold more expensive than other unis, that’s nuts.
  10. nada they said they will get in contact in february in case i needed to do an interview, but nothing yet. how about you?
  11. I’m sorry if there’s another thread with the same subject, I couldn’t not find it. Was wondering if anybody knows how hard is to get into this program and into NUS in general. I applied like a month and a half ago and everything went fine, the admissions unit told me they will notify me in case I need to do an interview most likely in february, and then, results will come out in batches from april-may. A little about my profile/background: - Bachelors degree with honors in International Relations at National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) - GPA: 3.7/4 or 9.25/10 (mexican grading system) - Academic exchange at University of São Paulo (USP). Also completed two postgraduate workshops in IR and Political Science. - Work experience: Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the Undersecretariat of Multilateral Affairs and Human Rights. - Don’t know if it counts but as my undergraduate project I carried out a thesis. Thanks in advance
  12. thank you very much hope it goes well. i didn’t get it, the reason was “i wasn’t clear enough with my professional goals” which is weird because in my personal letter i am very explicit about it. another thing is, in a forum like this i found out several students with no academic or professional experience in IR or master program (international security) got in. it happens ?‍♂️ again, tyvm ?
  13. Heeey, thank you very much for the reply, i thought this was going to be a forgotten thread. again, thank for the compliments yeah, i’m also looking for financial aid, either from the uni or look elsewhere for a loan. im just wondering the “selectivity” since i’ve got a bad experience with sciences po, hope LKY is more flexible regarding admissions ???
