I don't know if UW's COE has released acceptance for other tracks. I haven't seen anything posted for Ed Policy, only Learning Science.

It dies feel so slow! I'm guessing we will probably hear by early March.

Does anyone know if University of Washington offers interviews? Has anyone heard back from them?

This is my second cycle applying for PhDs and I ended up at a fully funded Masters with a TAship and an additional award. I came into this cycle from a very dark place last cycle. I've been a public school ELA teacher for the past 5 years (without a Master's), and desperate to realize my dream of a PhD program but feeling stuck and unappreciated as an educator. My research interests are in Rhetoric and still K-12 focused. I'm very happy with the program I ended up with. It was absolutely about "fit" more than anything else. I really didn't think that a fully funded Master's program with a TAship was even in the realm of possibility because they seem so difficult to find, especially after COVID. But I'm excited to be a part of a program that is excited to have me! I guess I'm writing this because it is what I would have appreciated reading as I scoured these forums this cycle or last cycle. I hope everyone else ended up somewhere they are happy with as well.

I heard good news this morning, about being the first person on the waitlist, but doubtful I'll hear anything again before Monday.

Is it pretty rare to hear back about a waitlist over a weekend?

UW just sent me an email saying they had reached their quota and I didn't make it off the Waitlist. I'm so bummed!

This is what I've heard from a POI as well. It is so frustrating because it feels like everything is at a standstill. I know that movement is expected closer to April 15th.

This is a long-shot, but is there anyone here who has been accepted with funding to UW-Milwaukee who is considering turning it down? But happy Friday everyone! I know this waitlist game has been long and still has over a month until it's over. Hang in there!

I am still waiting to hear back from 3 programs, but so far I am waitlisted at University of Washington and in for the Masters program at UW-Milwaukee but waitlisted for funding. I am hopeful about this cycle after a shutout (only 4 applications) last cycle!

This is a long-shot but has anyone heard anything from Stanford's MTL program?

My phone won't let me click the "Submit Results" tab so I haven't been able to submit my own result yet, but I got an email stating I had been put on the Waitlist. I applied for the Language & Rhetoric track. The email said 4% of applicants were admitted. This is my dream program so I am really hoping that I get in eventually!

I'm still just waiting anxiously to hear back from UCI and anything from anyone about UW. I know they sent a top 15% email last year...

Has anyone heard from UCI? In the past several years they have sent interview requests around this time.

I'm excited to see all these UNC acceptances on the board! I did not apply to this school, but it seems that they have released results earlier than in previous years. Has anyone noticed this with other schools? I haven't heard back from schools either way this year, but in my handful of rejections last year, each one mentioned the drastic increase in applicants. Has anyone heard from programs about a similar trend happening this year? Good luck getting through this week!

Did anyone else receive an email from UW late last night about filling out a required sexual misconduct declaration? The email says that it does not predict future admissions decisions, but I did not receive one last year and I remember others on this forum had discussed receiving this email. They could also very well just be requiring all applicants to fill out the form this year!

This is so helpful to hear! I feel this disconnect as well. Did you recently complete your MA? And were you able to complete it while also teaching? I thought going straight for the PhD would be the best route for me, but now I'm considering other options.

It feels so good to hear about everyone who has gotten in, especially people who have stuck it out for multiple cycles! I am so happy for you all. Does anyone have experience going from teaching middle school/high school after undergrad and then straight to a PhD program without doing a Masters? If so, I'd really appreciate any advice!
