  1. Hey everyone! Congratulations to all that have gotten into their programs and/or accepted their offers, and good luck to those waiting to hear back from schools! Has anyone accepted an offer they've received without funding? As it is, I only got into one of my schools this cycle, and with the deadline approaching, I'm unsure of whether or not to accept. My PIs have told me funding isn't guaranteed, but they will forward me GAship opportunities as they come. The school is a great fit for me, but I've been cautioned against paying for a PhD out of pocket over and over again, and I already have a good amt of student debt from undergrad. But, at the same time, there is the possibility of getting a GAship to cover some of the cost (but I assume not all? I don't know how much graduate assistantships cover), and I don't want to wait and try again next year with how much stress admissions caused me this year! Does anyone have any words of advice, or is maybe in a similar position? It would be much appreciated! Thanks all!
  2. Does anyone have any advice about asking about funding after receiving an acceptance offer? The school does offer funding but it isn’t guaranteed, and there hasn’t been any mention of it thus far... But funding is so important for me to attend! I’ve also heard about a lot of people receiving unfunded offers so far and I wasn’t aware that was the norm in School Psych... especially because I was under the impression Ph.D’s are almost always funded even when funding isn’t 100% guaranteed. Is it just the nature of this application cycle, or is it fairly common?
  3. I've been thinking this too!! I initially wanted to email my PI today but figured I'd wait til next week if I don't hear anything back by tomorrow... Getting so close to the 2 week mark makes me SO nervous though! A good friend of mine said maybe the reason they're taking so long is because they want to make sure they have great funding offers for us to go along w/ the acceptances, so that makes me feel a bit better haha! Positive thoughts!!
  4. Omg, I feel you!! I've been refreshing my email every hour waiting for a decision... Since tomorrow is the two week mark, I wonder if they'll have decisions finished by then? here's hoping we all get good news tomorrow!!
  5. Hope everyone’s having a good week so far! To the people that interviewed at UGA and hadn’t heard back initially last week or early this week, any news? I still haven’t heard anything so I’m getting a little worried! Was wondering if anyone else was still in the same boat. Think we’ve been waitlisted, or are some PIs still deliberating?
  6. Oh goodness! It was honestly just a guess based on what I’ve seen previous posters and fellow applicants say about admission decisions. I’m in the same boat as you where I’ve yet to hear back from UGA, so I’ve been trying to piece things together in an effort to calm my anxiety down ahaha! I was told we were supposed to hear back end of last week, so while I’m trying to be patient, it’s SO difficult! 90% of my thoughts are consumed with grad school admissions lol. I do know ML and SNP have at least sent out some of their decisions, but everything else is just guessing at this point. Here’s hoping you hear good news soon! You got this!
  7. I believe ML and SNP have sent out their decisions, but I’m not 100% sure about the rest!
  8. Did anyone else interview with TAMU or UGA and hear back already? I saw a poster on the results page received an acceptance from TAMU so I'm nervous! I only applied to 3 schools this cycle (UT, TAMU, and UGA), and interviewed with TAMU and UGA already, but have yet to hear back... The jitters are so real!! Thanks all!
  9. Congratulations!!! Do you mind sharing who your PI is? I’m also anxiously waiting for an email (whatever their decision will be)! Thanks!!
  10. Hey there! I applied to UT Austin's program as well (PhD) and recently received an email that very few faculty were accepting for their doctoral program this year, but they wanted to invite me to interview for their MA/SSP program instead. Interview date is Feb 5th, so it's possible that you just haven't received an interview email yet / that your application is still in review. I don't think it was a mass email, but I can't be sure. Best of luck to you!!
  11. Same here on Lehigh... I haven't gotten an email either. According to the results page, it seems like a mass email from the program coordinator went out. Any chance they'll be sending out some late interview invites? Haha! Congrats to everyone who got an interview!! On another note, has anyone heard from UT Austin yet? Or LSU or Maryland? Thanks!!
