Does MICA not tell people that they've been rejected? Anyone received a rejection notice?

As promised, the MICA Mount Royal Timeline: "Hello Emily!I wanted to send a quick follow-up, as promised. The Mount Royal faculty are conducting their reviews and interviews in rounds. I've checked with the faculty and they've told me they have sent out the first round invites already.The reviews will continue throughout February so it is too early to give you a definitive answer on the final status of your application, but I understand that you have other plans to consider! I can definitely leave your application active throughout the review process but I likely won't have a final answer until early March.I hope this helps, and sorry that I don't have more concrete information at this stage!" It sounded like they have been doing them in stages and that they will be done inviting people to interview this week. So they are doing rounds, and the rounds will conclude this week. The person I talked to said they’d send me a timeline at tomorrow the latest, I will post it here when I get it!

MICA Mount Royal just told me they’re finishing up interview invitations this week. Anyone heard a lick from Tulane or know anyone who ever has?

Hope so! I have been trying to find out the exact interview protocol for a few of my schools and I literally can't find anything concrete. Anyone know of common MFA practice for interview requests? Batches or not?

I applied for Studio Art/Sculpture and haven't heard anything...website says they'll conduct interviews by mid February though!

Hey guys, Have been reading this forum for a few months and not stated schools, but there were other sculpture applicants asking today so these are mine: Yale- Sculpture RISD- Sculpture MICA- Mount Royal Interdisciplinary Tulane- Studio Art UT Austin- Studio Art/Sculpture Haven't heard anything back yet!! Must be so... makes you wonder what sculpture students responses were. I was interested in whether an exceptionally small number of open seats would inspire more or less applicants. They were also very vague about this over zoom! Sort of insinuating that those who chose to defer might even still rescind that... and that it's all very up in the air. Good luck to you! ?

Woah super curious about this Yale business. Can I ask when you received that email and which program you applied to? Also for the previous convos abt Yale, I attended their zoom open house live (which I think also is posted online) and they DO NOT allow deferrals ordinarily, but because of COVID they allowed the class of 2020 to defer if they chose. I applied for sculpture and because of that policy they had only 3 open spaces for 2021 ?
