current student at ucsd, i'm an in-state student, but it is my understanding that in-state tuition is granted to every domestic student for the second year essentially automatically.

I received no merit based funding so kinda bummed, but still holding at hope for Robertson fellowship. I'm not sure if award winners would have been notified from the gps merit aid notification that came out today or it's its own separate thing. Anybody hear about Robertson by chance?

For anyone who was worried about this, was able to ask someone from admissions who told me we'd hear either tonight or tomorrow morning!

anybody hear back about financial aid? I read that we'd hear back by today, but still haven't got anything.

Just now rejected from MASIA, at this point was expected given I didn't receive an informal email earlier like others on this thread. Congrats to everyone who got in!

I still haven't! Startin to feel a bit pessimistic about it, but I guess it's not over til it's over!

Haven't received email regarding MASIA and portal still not updated, thinkin a rejection is on its way.

@mapiau Thank you so much for your time! Going into the program, did you already have an idea of the direction you wanted to go, or how did you end up where you are? Would you have any recommendations for certain electives to take or avoid? Any particular strengths or weaknesses of the program that stuck out to you during your time? I'm really interested in the coursework, but I guess I'm a little unsure of what the process might be like for finding an internship between year 1 and 2, as well as finding a job after the program.

@CherylMinn Congrats!! This does mean you're admitted. I received my official confirmation 4 days after I got the nomination email, so almost certainly yes!

Just found out i was admitted for the MIA! Applied by the early Dec 9 deadline so that's why I think I've heard back early, I'm pumped!
