For the person who received the UCLA rejection via website- where did you see this? I logged in to my portal and haven’t seen anything

Has *anyone* heard from AT at University of Southern California, PK at University of Denver, or TM at Duke? My anxiety is through the roof because I’m assuming rejection but want to know if these PIs have sent invites

Hi friend, Denver PhD is also my top choice. Are you referring to the two posts about interviews a few days ago, or did you hear all interviews were extended? I thought it was PI specific so far so I was holding out hope

Hi I’m on the same boat with having a hard time focusing on work. I truly just want to nap my days away and wake up to refresh my emails. This is my first time applying though, so I’m so sorry to hear about your situation. If you truly can’t see yourself doing anything different, I wouldn’t give up if I were you! This seems to be SUCH a strange year to apply. I have had acquaintances get multiple interviews in years past with less experience, so I think this year is an anomaly for all of us who haven’t heard back yet from anywhere. I know it doesn’t sound hopeful to wait another year to apply, but at least we can apply again in September (only 8 months away)! What are you doing now, if you don’t mind me asking? I think any experience you can get in the next year will help your chances of getting in next cycle. I think it’s about luck too

I’m so sorry to hear this. I know it might not offer much consolation, but I think it’s so impressive that out of the 400+ people, you made it to the top! Your efforts did not go unnoticed and the fact that the POI noticed you is amazing. I wish you luck and hope that you find happiness wherever you end up!

PhD! I actually misread, they posted about “University of Colorado Denver” but I applied to University of Denver’s Clin Psych PhD!

I haven’t heard anything either I’m hoping this week and next week are big weeks to hear back. I’m currently scheduling my mental breakdowns for every Friday night lol.

Hoping the person who posted about U Of Denver on the results page sees this- did they really say official interview invites would be sent in the end of feb/early March? That doesn’t make sense to me lol because I thought the national decision day was April 15th. ?

I think your response is acceptable! If/WHEN you get an interview, I would just make sure you emphasize your enthusiasm for research. The best thing about a PhD in Clin psych is the variety in career paths! During interviews, you should rank them as 1) Research 2) Teaching 3) Practice but what you do with your life is ultimately up to you ?

You don’t have to justify yourself or your response to anyone, especially not to strangers on the internet. Some people just like to be keyboard warriors. They can kick rocks. We’re all stressed together and wish you the best of luck!

I think next week will be a major week to hear back from schools. Praying that all of us get good news, especially for those of us who have been suffering through the radio silence ???
