Someone said earlier in the forum that Columbia is not doing interviews and we should expect last week in feb or early March

What would help someone stand out or be among the 6 spots of the 13? My PI has essentially told me there are 2 other people that want to work in his lab that are attending the event and I wonder what could be some good questions or things to bring to the table that would help me shine? I feel like I asked him almost everything I wanted to know during our two interviews.

Same here...no more news unfortunately. Its almost February though and here is hoping to hear soon.

@ALL Does anyone have feedback on a full day interview event/recruitment event prior to gaining admission? After interviewing twice: once with POI and second one with admissions they extended a final day long interview and I have no idea what that looks like and was wondering how I can be most successful in this? Any feedback is appreciated. Supposedly is to meet other faculty and current students before admission decisions are reached.

I saw another person got a BC interview. Did you reach out at all to the Professor before your application etc?

Mainly Social Work but I did apply to two psych programs I do have and MSW and my LCSW license. Hbu? Do you have an MSW?

I received an interview from WashU (however, it was for the Phd in Psychology and not Social Work) and was invited to a final day long virtual interview in Feb. @KryzFerr I feel you 100%! The waiting is playing with my nerves haha.

I applied to the HDFS program and have not a heard a single thing...and it is definitely past New Years...I checked the portal and it still states "In Review"

I checked this again 2 minutes ago and now there are two people with interviews on there or some sort of NYU PHD social work communication! Hopefully HOP and I will hear something soon and update yall!
