As someone who lives close to Purdue and has been to Irvine, go to California. Indiana is sad, especially if you’re not in Indianapolis. You want to be happy during your time in grad school, and that won’t be related to ranking or the program. It also sounds like it will be a better research fit for you to go to UCI.

Has anyone heard back after the UC Santa Cruz interview?

Is anyone else still waiting for UC Irvine? This is the last program that I’m waiting on. Seems like we are reaching the end of this, and I just want to know already!

Okay, let me just say WTF is UC Irvine’s admissions process. It’s like one acceptance every other day pretty randomly. No rejections. They’ve admitted through March before. I am so confused.

For those waiting for UCSD, I was just told to check the portal. Rejection.

I applied in mid November, and I still haven’t heard back. I am wondering if this means rejection or just that they haven’t gotten to my application yet? My stats are better than those getting admitted but who knows

I’m waiting for Irvine still! I see people with lower stats than me getting in, so I’m confused.

Had a great interview at Utah’s biological chemistry program today! It was 9 hours sooo long lol. But I learned a lot of cool stuff! If I saw any of you there, let me know

Yes! I KNOW. It’s so stressful lol. I feel like I should get in based on stats, but it’s so random. I think if we don’t get admitted by the weekend, Stanford is a no. But it was also a reach for me, so that’s okay.

Man, I’m still waiting on three! UCSD, UCI, and Stanford. It sounds like everyone will hear back from Stanford either way by Monday from past years. The other two, I’m not sure since there isn’t really a clear pattern. I still have some good offers though
