  1. I emailed the department at University of Denver, and they said "They have not extended interview offers yet. I am guessing sometime next week."
  2. I spoke with Clinical Psych grad students at my alma mater about this, when I was deciding between PhD and PsyD. They gave me the recommendation that I shouldn't mention interest in clinical practice in my statement if applying to PhD. Personally, the impression I received was either don't mention it or tread lightly. FWIW, my undergrad institution is an R01 research-focused university, so it might be different at a scientist-practitioner program.
  3. Has anyone heard about Florida State? There's nothing on the website aside from interviews being virtual this year.
  4. While I'm playing the waiting game, I'm deciding on potential backup plans. I was fortunate to walk away from undergrad debt-free through a series of grants. I'm first-gen college graduate, first to pursue graduate school, so the prospect of taking out loans for my Master's is my biggest deterrent. I saw someone post a list of funded Clinical-related or research-focused Master's programs, but they were mostly in the Midwest. Does anyone know of funded programs in the United States? Any on the west coast?
  5. I second this! I'm a Bay Area native, and I know that someone isn't from here if they say "Cali." If you get into USC just sprinkle in "hella" here and there, and you will fit right in.
  6. ME! I have been lurking in the forums and finally made an account. At the risk of sounding like a weirdo, we have a lot of POIs in common. I have emailed MH at Chapel Hill and haven't received a response. I interviewed with him last year at Penn State.
  7. Also, I heard from University of Denver Clinical Psych PhD. DCT said official interviews haven't gone out, but assumes they will next week.
  8. I have caved in and began reaching out to admissions. Here's what I received from University of Notre Dame: "First, it’s important for me to note that our interview event is different from most in that we admit students beforehand, so it’s better considered a recruitment than a standard interview event. That said, invitations have not yet been sent; our first round of invitations will be sent late next week. However, all of our first-round applicants have been contacted for a pre-invitation interview. Thus, if you have not been contacted, you may still be on our waitlist but, of course, the probability that you will be invited is notably lower. " Not looking positive in my favor, but it's better than not knowing.
