I would reach out to them and see if they have started the process of becoming an APA accredited program. I am also hoping the GRE is waived and/or removed as a requirement. I understand universities want competitive applicants, but I do think the GRE causes excellent diverse applicants to be missed over. Standardized tests in general are racist, classist and sexist.

For those who received interview invites to Rowan, have the interviews occurred yet? I've been waitlisted so curious as to what is going on there.

I still haven't heard from all three schools I applied to, although I'm assuming rejection for two since invites went out weeks ago. I'm holding on to hope for one :/.

Ugh, I'm so sorry you are in limbo too. This year was so hard. And now that I learned so much, I wish I did my Master's in counseling instead of General Psychology. I just want to be able to start planning for Fall if I don't get in anywhere.

Yes, definitely and because of COVID I though potentially they were sick. But turns out they were fine as I found out accidentally through someone we ended up knowing mutually. That's excellent that yours ended up working out so well! And good luck to you as well

Thank you for letting me (and others here applied) know! I'm just glad I can hold on to that little bit of hope ?. Yes to all of this! Although this was my first time applying, I don't know if I can financially and emotionally handle going through this process multiple times. Plus I'm an older applicant compared to most, which is also a barrier I feel. It's a shame it is so incredibly competitive and that there just isn't enough programs considering how high the need is for psychologists.

I'm feeling this too. I had a professor promise to right my letter, to then legit ghost me at the last minute. I had to find a reference on such short notice (and during finals which is why I gather I didn't hear back from other professors) and only one got back to me but they weren't academic either, although related to the field. I'm hoping things like this are factored, but with everything being super competitive, it's hard to say.

I felt the same way following potential POI's on Research Gate! I decided to wait until after app season.

Did you get to have a prelim interview with your POI? Would you be open to sharing your POI in a PM? If they only started reviewing, I wonder if we won't hear until next week, although I do hope by this Friday.

Me either! I am a career-changer and have my MBA and soon MA. I'm working on a research project now, but besides that project, my MA school work and the work I do with a psychology association, it is all I have in this field, although I did a ton of research (non-clinical psychology) in my previous career. I am terrible at standardized tests and also worried about the GRE being a requirement again. And having kids while doing this makes it harder for sure! Kudos to you for doing this as well with children!

Like many of you here, I'm also feeling frustrated not hearing from any of the schools I applied to, although I am assuming Temple and Drexel is out for me since I've seen interview invites for my POI at Drexel have gone out and I didn't receive one and for Temple, their website states all interview invitations have been sent out. Has anyone applied to Rowan and heard from them for an official interview invite? For those students who do have an MA what are your plans if you don't get into a program this year?
