All universities have had a large increase in graduate level applications due to the pandemic and economic turndown. Grad school becomes an option with low opportunity cost when the economy is slow.

I think I’m the only person who applied to Ohio State (and only Ohio State), so seeing the admission results for the popular schools is exciting, but doesn’t give me additional insight. But, I’m here for the shared anxiety.

Like many of you, I’m still waiting for a response. I only applied to one program: Ohio State. I cannot move for school, as my husband has a strong career in Columbus. I’m disappointed that I haven’t heard yet, but really hope to hear something this week.

$0 for a PhD; I guess that's a philosophical position, as I don't think people should pay for doctorates. My MBA was about $60K.

Applied at the last minute after two professors strongly encouraged my application after emails/Zoom meetings. Now I'm waiting on pins and needles and checking the application portal multiple times per day. Unlike many of you, I have no option to move for school, as my husband is firmly planted in his career.
