Just received reject from UC San Diego, Congrats to everyone who got in!!

Hey guys! So I am currently in a dilemma between Purdue and UC Irvine for theoretical chemistry, and I am really confused! On one side UC Irvine is advantageous for me with respect to number of groups I have as an option, location and on the other hand Purdue has a better brand, better alumni network, but I might have to do some work outside my area of interest, and Purdue is located in the midwest (saying this only for the climate and closeness to the industry). Anybody here facing a similar dilemma? Please share your thoughts. Thanks in advance.

I just mailed them for updates regarding my application. They replied saying they have not made a decision on my application yet. They also said " However the admissions committee has made all of the offers they plan to make."

I had applied.! I think one had to send WES transcript (if initial degrees were not completed in the US). It has been there since the time we submitted the application. They are not done with all decisions yet. I had mailed them asking for an update, got a reply saying it would take till end of March to complete all offers.

UC Berkeley has just sent out few more rejections.

I had applied to 10 schools, have only heard back from 3 of them. Tracing the timelines of admissions (& rejects) of previous years, it seems most schools had sent a decision (be it admit or reject) by this time of the year. Not sure if this year is a one-off case because of the pandemic.

I just got an email from UC Berkeley asking me consider applying for some other online masters course (MSSE), while I had submitted my application for Chemistry PhD. Did anybody else get this? Does this mean a reject for chemistry PhD? I had applied for theoretical Chem.
