Received an acceptance email from Michigan for poetry this morning, holy fuck. Also weird that it looks like the people last week got phone calls whereas people this week are getting emails?

Received an acceptance email from BU this morning for poetry. Insane relief after getting a couple rejections in a row this last week.

There are acceptances and waitlists from Fiction, Poetry, and CNF.

Last year looks like WashU sent the rejections 4 days after the acceptances/waitlists.

Pretty sure the minnesota acceptance is poetry, there's a virginia tech acceptance posted at the same time from someone with the same a/w/r/p that explicitly says poetry

eyyy, my focus was in languages and literature, primarily as a Latinist. Funnily enough the only real classics inspired poetry ive done is ekphrastic work on classical (and neoclassical) sculptures. If you have any classics inspired work youd feel like sharing id love to read.

classics major applying here. everyone ive talked to and everything ive read seems to say that what you majored in in undergrad doesnt affect things

Not addressed to me but i will always recommend Madness, Rack, and Honey by Mary Ruefle. Also The Writing Life by Annie Dillard is very good.

Obviously not definitive, but it's worth noting that the Iowa website currently says that "Decisions will be made in March or early April." Just for whatever its worth.
