For those who need a translation: There were no personal selection meetings in March The selection committee assessed your application on the basis of the documents submitted and additional reports So it was a pure paper selection with no personal preference I cannot tell you anything about the results until the process is officially completed WAAAAAAA maybe there is still hope!!! I am keeping all my finger crossed and I really hope that is true! That would be a truly amazing plot twist ahahahah Hopefully we won't have to wait two weeks

It's pretty sad ? I really hope I will be able to find a job there I guess... with covid is even more difficult I don't think I want to give up and I am planning to go anyway if I get accepted and try again for DAAD next year. Anyone coming to munich? Yes, there is just an interview, but it should be pretty formal for physics from what I have heard

Just received the answer: the interviews were in march and april for the preselected candidates and the results will arrive in June. So for the italians (Masters) who did not receive an interview there is not much hope left :,) I was still hoping that some of us were selected even without interview but it is not possible apparently... ? I just don't get why they are waiting so much to send the rejections...

Which university have you applied for? I sent the application for LMU, but I won't hear from them until mid July, since they don't process applications before the deadline ? Also, I sent an email to DAAD since I want to try the feeling "you'll know in two week" at least once. I think you are not living the whole experience if you don't receive that answer hahaha I'll let you know

Before I said that I found that on the italian DAAD website, but now I realise it is on the general one, I just found the link on the italian site. I don't know if I should write a mail, because our deadline was in november... That's quite more than 4 months hahaha

Today I was wondering on our DAAD website and I found that Applications for ongoing calls for proposals will continue to be received and processed, Commission meetings will partly be held by Video conference or decisions will be taken on the basis of written documents. So somebody had the interview, but the fact that we didn't doesn't mean we won't have scholarship (maybe). I think my hope it's kinda hard to kill hahahha The website was updated on April 20, so it's not an old news (I guess)

Nothing here as well... I also thought there was hope It would have been nice to know we didn't make it before and not waiting until now to find out... Let's wait for the official results but I also have the feeling we didn't win it ?

So if we don't hear from them next week we're basically out of the game? Sad story hahaha That's gonna be stressfull

Still nothing from me ? But that means that some italians already did the interview or received the rejection email? Also, usually the rejection emails preceed the confirmation ones... So it's probably a good sign if we didn't hear from them (?) Hopefully monday we will hear something back

I don't think there is a logic, probably somebody from daad decided it would be funny to add that and now is laughing reading these panic messages. From what I have read, most of us still have "application submitted". The status "pre-selection/selection made" doesn't actually make sense since it doesn't give info about the outcome, but just that you will know something "soon" (that translated from daad to english means a time interval between 1 day and 1 year). The only useful message is "funding" and hopefully we'll see that appear soon, but all the others are kinda useless. I think that most of us will us those money in phycologists if we survive the process. Jokes a part, good luck everyone and I hope we'll hear something from them pretty soon!

Oh yes, you are right about it. I problably did not explain myself using the right words I meant that maybe they are checking them in order, from the first arrived to the last one. But it's just a conjecture haha Hopefully they'll tell something soon That's all right good luck!

Hello! Yes, my mantra now is no news is good news and hopefully it will work out for the best! The not-so-encouraging fact is that everyone received a mail after the application while I was left alone in my desperation hahaha I will wait until March before going to cry in the DAAD local office. I waited until this moment, I guess it won't kill me waiting a little longer. Hopefully I won't receive a rejection email, that would be sad ? Thank you and the best of luck for your application!!

Hello! I have the conference application from the first day, but surely the change of status means something positive!! Good luck with that! Also, did the status change in the last few days? Because I didn't hear anything from them since november and I was wondering if it happened to you as well or if I'm just extremely unlucky ahhaha

I also had that deadline... Still hoping to receive something. I guess we're still in the game until they say we're not anymore haha Hopefully our offices just have different timetables. Did you by any chance send the application really close to the deadline? To be sure I checked it thousant times and I sent it in the last day. Maybe they are processing by arrival day and that's why it's taking so long? I am still considering to send an email but I don't want to be that person... Finger crossed for both of us!!

Hello, I am applying for the master studies for all academic disciplines. I read that some of you received confirmations about their application or already did the interview... I still have NO news about it and I'm starting to get nervous about it. Maybe I haven't see the email. Did you also get the message in the "personal messages" section on the daad portal? Becase that's also empty for me... My status is still "application submitted". Maybe no news is good news but I would rather receive some info about it. Congratulation to those who finally finished the process!! So happy to hear that so many people were able to made their dream come true! All the best for the future and finger crossed! For those who are in my same situation... I feel you haha!
