Hi all! I got into Parson's Fine Arts, SAIC Painting, UPenn, and MICA Mount Royal. Now trying to figure out which is the best fit. I've decided against UPenn and now trying to decide between Parsons and MICA. Any advice would be appreciated!

I also did not receive any funding and heard from someone else that they have not either. I was a bit shocked to be honest

I got accepted to SAIC Painting recently too! Congrats! I called the Financial Aid office and they told me to check my Self Service portal since they update that periodically to show info about Aid. They just updated mine yesterday. There should be instructions on how to access it in the acceptance package. Hope that helps!

Hi!! I was just accepted to UPenn and SAIC Painting!! I haven't heard from either about financial aid yet. Still waiting on Parsons Fine Arts and MICA Mount Royal.

I interviewed with almost the same group, except with Matthew Villarreal instead of Lydia Matthew, on Feb 11th! I haven't heard much from them since. I hope that the second one goes well for you!!!

Yay congrats!! Who did you interview with the first time? The director was in my first interview with some other faculty. I'm hoping that's a good sign??

I felt the same way! I had an interview today and it was mostly 30 minutes of me going through my portfolio while they commented or asked a question every once in a while. They said they had never seen the portfolio before. Does anyone know anything more about their selection process?? Also I wasn't able to make it to the student mixer, how was it?!

Hi! Does anyone have any tips on successfully getting financial aid / finding other methods of funding? A lot of the school websites direct you to the scholarship search engines and wondering if anyone has had any success with them? Thanks!

What was your interview with them like?

Yeah! It was 30 minutes long with 2 professors. They mostly asked me about my background - I graduated with a B.S. in Engineering in April so they were curious about my practice, where I think my art fit in, which artists I look up to, why I wanted to attend grad school and Penn specifically. It was very casual and conversational! It was helpful to look up the professors' bios before so I found common ground to talk about before hand. Also be prepared to ask some questions at the end - they gave me 5-10 minutes to ask. Hope it goes well!

Hi! I just interviewed at UPenn, does anyone have any thoughts about their MFA program? I have an interview at Mount Royal at MICA this week, then SAIC next. Still waiting on Parsons, anyone else? Good luck to everyone! This waiting game is horrible so sending hugs ??
