Has anyone accepted an offer from the University of Illinois (UIUC) ? Would love to get in contact with some incoming grad students

Does anyone have advice on choosing between two equally great choices? I got into a fully funded masters at the University of Illinois and a 2/3rd funded Masters at American University. Both have really strong faculty in my fields of interest that I'd be so happy to work with. From what I understand it seems like American University would provide more opportunities in terms of connections with major DC area museums as well as the rest of the east coast. But it comes with student loans, and a higher cost of living. Do I have this pretty much right?

Has anyone heard from usc PhD?

My research has been in contemporary art with a focus on gender studies and critical theory! And I just heard back from American, I got a merit award, but it only covers half of tuition plus a stipend, which I don't understand

I talked to a grad student there and from what I could gather it sounded like a good proportion of the cohort isn't fully funded but I can't really find much information about it outside of that one conversation... Also congrats on your acceptance! Do you know what your specialization might be going in?

Hey all! I submitted applications to the PHD programs at USC, UCSB, UCLA, and Michigan, and the MA programs at American University, and Illinois. Also applied to the curatorial studies MFA at the University of Kentucky, where I got my bachelors. Wondering if anyone has applied to these programs and has hear anything back from them. So far I have only heard from American University, and got in, but haven't been informed about the funding package yet. I've seen on here that some people have heard from Michigan and USC, can anyone confirm that? Thanks and good luck to everyone ❤️
