Hello! Congrats on your admission as well! I chose Michigan for many reasons: I went to Michigan for undergrad and I love the campus and city of Ann Arbor! The sports culture is also amazing here! Finances - I am an in-state student and I have a job at Michigan Medicine with the potential to receive tuition reimbursement if I keep working while pursuing my MSW (which I likely will) The school has a high reputation especially in Social Work Hundreds of options for field placements! I've interacted with some alumni as well as faculty and it seems like the school and program does a great job supporting their students Out of my options, I believe Michigan would give me the most opportunities to learn, gain experience, and maybe even help me easily land a job in the future. The assistant dean of admissions at UIC actually called me the other day and said that they were just waiting for me to accept my admission for the MPH program in order to move forward with my MSW application and accept me there. I told her that I was deciding between two schools at the moment and she said she would just get me off the waitlist. I received the letter of admission yesterday. Tbh, I'm sort of disappointed that it took only an email and phone call to get me easily off the waitlist and accepted. With how they handled this I've reinforced my decision to go with University of Michigan. I'll decline my offers at UIC and hopefully expedite the process of getting more off the waitlist! Another waitlist for UIC here! I emailed Jane Addams to see how soon I'd hear back from the waitlist since I am also an applicant for the MPH/MSW program (I was already admitted in the MPH program in Policy and Administration) and they said that they prioritize the MPH/MSW applicants. I'm hoping that is a good sign I'll hear soon but I will follow up with the Assistant Dean of Admissions in the coming week.

Has anyone heard from UIC? I applied for the MPH/MSW program and I just got accepted to the MPH program. I'm still waiting to hear back about the MSW program but I'm already pretty happy that I got in to MPH
