Sorry if somebody else has already answered this (I'm going back and reviewing what I missed), but yes! Reach out to Amanda Lehning, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Associate Professor. It might be a bit late in the process to get an extension, but she's very responsive.

I heard back from University of Maryland a couple of months after I applied (I applied in September, and was accepted right at the end of January). Since they start reviewing for scholarship awards in late spring, I'd guess that you'll hear by the end of March?

Me too! I appreciate their promptness. Unfortunately, I only got $9,000 per year, so it looks like I'll be going to the University of Maryland, Baltimore, where I can get in-state tuition.

I asked them and they said they were hoping to send out scholarship info by early April. Because my decision hinges so much on money, they allowed me to defer my acceptance/declination until April 1st.

I asked them about funding because my decision mostly relies on how much money I get. They said that they're hoping to send out scholarship info by the end of February. Also, in one of their info sessions, they mentioned that the scholarship max is 16k/year
