sorry to read that they don’t include all. I thought my interview was bad, but I appreciated the learning experience. hope you will learn from that too!

I also got waitlisted. 4-5 got accedpted

if we were 12 photo interviews(12 spots were available to schedule ), I don’t understand their unranked waitlist system.

wait, did it say explicitly in your letter that you were waitlisted? mine didnt but can i assume i was?

Literally creating an account on here just to join the freakout awaiting decisions from Bard and Columbia. Applied to both schools' MFA in Writing programs with a concentration in poetry. I haven't heard anything to date and the application portal doesn't seem to have any info as of yet... I saw on Bard's website that interviews were conducted March 6th and decision info comes out starting today, but I haven't been contacted at all.

Does anyone have any ideas if not being called for an interview means outright rejection (for Bard, that is- Columbia seems to be even more vague about decision dates...) ? I've got a massive pit in my stomach thinking that I've already been rejected.

Cant speak for Columbia, but ya the bard interviews were last week

Waitlisted as well. This hurts. I was rejected once before and felt so close.  Gut-wrenching, really

I just got straight rejected lol. On their website it says interviewees who don’t get accepted just get waitlisted.... guess I didn’t even make it in the upper half of the bottom half of interviewees lol

I did not get anything either which was disappointing. I won't be able to go as a result. ?

Ok this makes me feel better... wtf is up with them I thought Ivy League schools were supposed to have big endowments at least enough to offer something like 20-30% in scholarship

hi everybody, so I’ve had 3 interviews and in my last one at the very end they asked me what my personality is like and if I was applying to other schools.. honestly, it threw me off so much, especially because it was at the end, I tend to get winded after 45 min of talking. Anyways, isn’t it an odd question? I understand why they would want to know my personality... But it seems to me it’s the kind of thing you perceive by asking other questions... anyways, i blabbered an honestly weird response I realize now.. lol... it seems my default mode is weird, I just go in trying to be myself you know? ugh, it’s frustrating because I truly feel I had aced all the interview until that very last moment. Anybody else has been asked similar questions? Is it common? I hadn’t been asked this before in any of the other interviews.

the personality question is kind of strange... one of the schools I interviewed at which was a UC kept pressing whether or not I had applied and been accepted to other places, but they ask that for scholarship reasons. I think if you get an offer, they can help you get more financial aid for a counter offer.
