Different school, but I asked IIT ID for more time to decide and they were super flexible with me-- moved the deadline from Mar 5 to Mar 30th. No harm in asking -- I emphasized how much I liked the school but wanted to make a fully educated decision by hearing from everywhere I applied to.

How do you guys go about negotiating with schools for scholarship? It's something I should do but I'm scared of seeming rude or ungrateful, which I know is silly. Have y'all used any form letters or articles that might be helpful? Do you mention other schools and the aid they offered as leverage or is that not appropriate? Any advice would be appreciated thanks!

Industrial Design. And yes, I got an email to log in and view an admissions update - the acceptance and scholarship were part of the letter.

Just got into Parsons ID MFA with 35% tuition scholarship! Obviously very exciting but I had already sort of mentally started imagining myself at SAIC so my decision just got a lot harder. Also, is anyone having a tough time responding to schools they probably won't attend? Logically, I know I have other programs I'd rather attend, but the idea of closing off an option stresses me out! Like, what if I change my mind but it's too late because I already turned them down?

Accepted into SAIC MDDO!!!! Just got an email saying the packet is delayed but I'm so excited! This waiting has taken over my week and put me in a total funk and it's so relieving to finally know. I think they're my top choice

nope! they said they'd make all decisions by the 1st so I just assume it's somewhere in the mail system now. not at all going insane checking my mailbox 20x a day!!!!!!

Good to know I'm not alone in this! Judging by the "results" section, MDDO responses are always sent via postal service, so at least we can assume the letters have been mailed by today and are in the system somewhere. I'm nervous and a little annoyed. Who does ONLY letters in 2021!

Has anyone heard from SAIC MDDO yet? I've seen people getting decisions from other departments, some only by letter, some email, some phone. Sick of checking my spam folder and mailbox many times a day!! They said they'd release all decisions by the 1st but I fear mine may be coming by snail mail.
