  1. Thank you! I can’t really speak to whether they staggered acceptances or not, but I do remember hearing back a day or two after some notifications had gone out. The email from SPIA last night said official notification from the university/grad school would come in the coming days. Keeping my fingers crossed that there’s still good news to come for you! Sorry I can’t offer clearer answers. The wait is agonizing.
  2. For those monitoring this thread, just an FYI that I did hear back a few hours ago (for the MPA). It’s a yes! Good luck to all & hope to meet some of you in the fall!
  3. Just looked back at the 2021 grad cafe forum. Last year they sent acceptances the afternoon of the Thursday (3/11) and rejections/waitlist the following day (Friday, 3/12)
  4. Last year it came through email - and it seems that pretty typical of previous years as well. I know the feeling of refreshing! The time is getting closer.
  5. @lionking in previous years they seemed to take a handful of people off the waitlist according to these forms, though numbers varied. Last year, though, they didn’t take anyone off the waitlist. Maybe it was because of deferred acceptances from 2020 with COVID, but speculation on the whole process is never really conclusive!
  6. Don’t wanna share too much info on here, but I did the same as you. Deferred my second choice so it’ll either be here or there. Both great options but I wanna know the outcome! Agreed, getting re-waitlisted would be cruel haha
  7. I’m in the same boat. The ultimate rejection email last year definitely seemed to encourage waitlisted folks to reapply, so hoping for a different outcome!
  8. Nice! Yes, I think the MPA cohort is about 70 students. With a high yield, I think they only accept a few more than that. Maybe 100? I went to a top US undergrad (3.8 GPA) and have about five years of experience in development/humanitarian work both overseas and in the US. LORs and personal statement were as good as I could muster, so fingers crossed on the outcome! Have similar concerns about poor quant background/slightly lower quant GRE score, but only time will tell. Best of luck to you all! Hope we can meet on the other side.
  9. Hey all, starting this forum to share updates as we wait to hear from SPIA on/around March 15. Surprised that grad cafe has been very quiet this year for these Princeton programs! Prospective MPA applicant here
  10. Maybe they give some window for students who accepted their offers to defer and/or opt to start at other schools in the fall for joint degrees. Definitely disappointed, but happy to have an answer.
  11. The office said they’d be considering their waitlist beginning the week of 4/26. Would love updates as others hear anything this week to help manage expectations!
  12. Just got more guidance and info on the waitlist process, including background on the Statement of Continued Interest. When was it that you actually heard back? How many waitlisted students got a place in your cohort? Can you share any other useful tips?
  13. Not sure I have much more to send over, but will be giving an update on a new work initiative that could be of interest. Realize the chance of people declining offers is low with full funding, but we will see.
  14. Got official word a few minutes ago - waitlisted! Agonizing but hoping some MPA admits take their offers elsewhere ?
  15. I knew the inverse of a 15% acceptance rate was an 85% rejection rate but I was still holding out some hope... CONGRATS to those who made it this round, celebrate rightly this weekend! On to other things for the rest of us - still great opportunities to do good.
