  1. I haven't heard anything about a deposit, no...
  2. A Facebook group was created for UBC MCRP 2021-2023. If you're also going, message me here or reply to the post and I'll send you the link! @heyhey101 @PlanningPanic
  3. Thank you!!! So excited, definitely taking the offer. Anybody else who got into SCARP and is going, I'll see you there!
  4. Just got an offer from SCARP by email 5 minutes ago!
  5. Looks like we'll have to wait to next week for UBC. I want off this wild ride...
  6. It's not great, but you definitely can. I know Ontario law prevents asking for deposits before June. For SFU, I don't know: if I get into SCARP I'm taking it no matter what... Money means different things for different people, so even if they do require a 500$ deposit, that may be worth it for you to keep your spot at SFU. It's worth looking into the deposit info there, because that's really all that's stopping you. Yes, it's kind of shitty, but it's also quite common. I've talked to different people who've done it, and a professor counselled me to take the offer and withdraw later.
  7. I have accepted Ryerson, but that may change, as I'm still waiting to hear back from UofT (I assume I'm waitlisted) and UBC/SCARP. Only 3 I applied to.
  8. Thanks for the info! Nothing for me. What do you mean by the results page?
  9. Curious, where did you see this? I can login to Acorn with my application credentials, but I didn't get an email about it, and I don't know if I was allowed to log in previously.
  10. I'm sure we'll hear immediately as soon as people start getting results. In the meantime, we wait...
  11. Just got an acceptance from Ryerson! Unofficial email, with an official letter to come. 4k scholarship as well.
  12. Nothing like that, no. They're all very open ended questions that you can take whichever way you want. As soon as I got the interview request, I wanted to get it done as soon as possible. Made me so nervous! Glad to hear I can help you guys out ❤️
  13. Kind of hard for me to answer that without just telling you the exact question I had, but it's a bit of both No need to worry, the questions are simple. It also says in the instructions not to have notes or anything to read from; you can easily answer all of these off the top of your head. Good luck!!
  14. I did the SCARP interview this morning; glad to answer any questions anybody may have. It's four questions, 3 minutes each. The questions relate to you and to urban planning as a profession. Nothing out of the ordinary, or anything you would have to do research for. The strangest part, for me, was just speaking to myself. I wish it was a real interview. As strange it sounds, I would recommend talking out loud to yourself for 10-15 minutes before answering the questions. I won't disclose the specific questions I got, but glad to help out otherwise! @MildlyJaded, I applied to UBC, UofT & Ryerson, and would rank them in that order. I'm finishing my McGill undergrad, so would love to go somewhere else. Nothing against McGill, loved my experience here, but it's also my hometown and I would love a change. I've heard great things about UBC, and 2 years in Vancouver sounds great, albeit expensive.
