Is anyone applying UCI here? I was interviewed with two professors on Mar 17th and 18th, but haven't heard anything back yet. Is that an implicit waitlist or rejection?

I actually don't think so. For schools that have rotation time, the first semester will be fully funded by the department not professor untill the rotation time ends, so I think there is no such kind of difference.

I am not sure about your situation, but you may want to contact the program manager to check your status. They will explicitly tell you where you are in the process.

I guess that the interviewee represents the program since the first semester of this program will be the rotation time.

I contacted the department. They told me that they already sent out the first round of offers, and I was added to their waitlist. I am not sure if it is the same situation for other applicants.

I tried to contact the program several times, but every time they say "No one has been declined yet, and the review process is still ongoing. Please wait until April". Since the first round of offers has already been sent out for a while, I wonder if the left applicants are on the waitlist or not (they said they do not have a waitlist policy tho)? It is hard to believe that they have not finished the review process yet. Does anyone have any idea about it?
