  1. I got accepted to USC for Civil Engineering PhD and TAMU for the materials science PhD Program. at USC I have RAship for 4 years and an advisor but I have to change my research area bit plus its DoE related project. At TAMU I have fellowship for 1 year from Department of Engineering College and I have advisor but not the project yet since I have fellowship so I can put my own proposal and work on my own project as per potential advisor's words. Now I am confuse which one is better as my career goal is to work at the national lab in California. Any suggestions are welcomed. Thank you!
  2. Congrats on your admit! those are very good universities for Civil Engineering. Georgia Tech will have more opportunities in terms of the job perspective due to its location. It will be "easier" to find the summer internships without moving out. I know few people who did MSc in Civil at Georgia Tech and they were able to get interns and full time jobs with out leaving Atlanta. This is pre pandemic so not sure how will it be after pandemic.
  3. Hi Has anyone heard back from Stanford and UC Davis regarding decisions for Civil Engineering PhD? It so frustrated to wait in the dark and I email them as well but no response. It already 13th April no clue what to do.
  4. I have applied to UT Austin, U mich and UC Berkeley for Civil PHD and still waiting for the results.
