Looks like Columbia Fiction is going out. 2 people on Draft received emails from Nicolas Christopher!

I’m thinking it might because previous years there has been handwritten notes that come with the letters that are kind of like “personal rejections” which would be difficult to do if it’s through email by admissions people rather than the faculty (???) But with covid, everything’s so delayed, is it really worth it? ?

Did she scan a copy of the letter or just tell you the status? O:

I heard from one of the accepted applicants that they took 16 for fiction this year. Seems like it’s been cut down?

On Twitter! I saw two people post about it. I just got an email from a professor I contacted, and they said they haven’t sent out fiction notifications yet. I’ll try asking when they might be sending them /:

They did! But I heard they might be doing it in waves because it’s such a big cohort, but I’m not sure..

Yes! I believe so! At least according to the notifications from previous years.

It seems like it’s probably a call looking at the poetry and CNF acceptances so far! ?

Got the rejection for NYU (fiction) /: *Updates if anyone is interested: The New School replied my email saying decisions go out mid-March (I’m guess the REST of the decisions... but when I checked the website again it said late March.. maybe they changed it?) University if Guelph (if anyone is applying to Canadian schools): Decisions at the end of March

Long term lurker here ? @SofiTheCatGuardian I believe Boston usually comes out late March/April. For Hopkins, I think notifications have gone out. At least I’ve seen them on Draft. For Maryland, I’ve seen some waitlists on draft as well. And for Iowa, I think you should be receiving a letter for waitlist or rejection any day now since a few have gotten it on Draft! Has anyone heard anything from NYU, Columbia, or The New School yet about waitlists or rejections?
