If you're looking to be close to campus, the U street corridor in DC proper might be an ideal fit for you. If you're willing to commute look at Silver Spring, Maryland...it's about a 20 minute drive to campus if you're not stuck in traffic. The DC area including the suburbs are very commuter friendly (pre-Covid). Most people rely on the Metro here to get around.
