Status update:
I have got a new message telling me that I wasn’t given the scholarship at the moment and that my application will be put to the reserve list.
I think it is over for me.

No news for Phd from Asia Pacific yet?
Waiting is killing me hardly.
Still Paper copies received and funding end date changed.
Horrible
No news buddy,
The waiting part is excruciating indeed.
My status is exactly the same as yours.
-
No news here too. The status is still "paper copies received". I don't know if giving up on hope can do us any good or even staying hopeful is any better. It would be better to receive a response to just get rid of the anxiety.

Keep the spirits alive guys, there is no rejection until we literally receive the negative response. Though the oblivious situation is troubling.

I can sense that people following this thread are keen and compulsive about their desires. There maybe people who have applied but are not so bothered by the status of the results.
I really hope those haven’t heard their results will hear a positive response.

Does anyone receive the e-mail from DAAD about result in Asia/Pacific region?
Especially, Doctoral programmes.
Many uni require application for Phd course within no later than next week, I should decide it depending on DAAD funding. Waiting is killing me softly....
The good thing is my funding end date has been changed from 3years to 1year.
As they give the scholarship annually and it has to expended every year, it would be good news!!
But application status remains still submitted....
I have applied from Japan, my country of origin is different.
I was interviewed in late Nov. and ever since the application status is "paper copies received". I didn't notice if the funding dates were the same from the beginning or changed later, but they are for one year now. I have contacted the local DAAD officer in Japan and was advised to wait until the end of April, while at the interview I was told the results were going to be announced by the end of March. Anyway, we don't have any option but to wait, which is, believe me, stressing.
Best of luck to all of us.

Given the information from fellas, it seems that the results will be announced by the end of April. Let’s all hope for the best.

Relax... Don't give up.. There is still time... Language course begins in June.. So releasing results end of April is still OK..
Thanks buddy,
I will try to keep the fingers crossed ?. But you know, I prepared the research proposal in coordination with my prospective supervisor and it took us more than a dozen Skype meetings. At the end he wrote a recommendation letter beyond my expectations, explicitly asking the funding body to consider the research.
If I still get a rejection letter it would be giving up on the dream of getting my degree.
I really hope to hear a positive news soon. ? -
Dear fellas,
I have applied for the “Research Grants - Doctoral Programmes in Germany, 2021/22”, I think of myself an exceptional case because my country of origin is different from where I applied. I and my supervisor have spent a fair share of time on developing the research proposal and he has given me a splendid recommendation letter too. I am quite satisfied with the interview which was in Nov.
Ever since my interview the application status is “Paper Copies Received”, as per DAAD’s promise the result was supposed to be announced in March. But on the 31st the representative in answer to my inquiry told me to wait until the end of April.
Just want you guys’ opinion on should I still freak out or is the result going to unfavorable?
Kind Regards,
