Just got the email saying the status of my application changed for UofT, and also had a friend at UofT who had the status of their application updated a week ago. Not sure if the timing of these updates is an indication of anything..

After emailing the UofT MIE grad office, apparently they are not permitted to release your ranking on the alternate list so there is no way of knowing your chances.

I just checked my status for the MIE department at U of T and my "Outcome" column now shows "Alternate". I'm assuming this means I am on the waitlist. Does anyone know the likelihood of getting offered the award as an Alternate?

I'm not sure - I saw last year someone had their application updated on March 26 and received a SSHRC award from UofT. Mine was also updated last year on March 26 and I did not receive an NSERC award. Seems like it could go either way
