  1. can someone post a flat out rejection letter and waitlisted letter? I am curious to know as I don't know what kind of letter I got. I am not getting funded and this is my last chance.
  2. Sounds like same time they posted last year. I expect they release log in details by the end of this week and then the results early next week. Good luck every one, they wait is almost over!
  3. You don't hear anything once your application has been forwarded to the national competition until April when the final results are released.
  4. Just got my rejection letter - Chemistry (Committee 179). NSERC ID starts with 57. At the point of applications, I had 3 peer-reviewed publications (2 first author). I had 8 conferences and 4 technical reports. Well, I have one more chance to apply, gotta start working on it. Goodluck to everyone who have not received their results yet. Congrats to those awarded. Better luck next time to us remaining!
  5. You get bumped up when people reject their offers as scholarship becomes available. Looking through a couple of threads, it looks like you could even get awarded in January the following year which is also the deadline for people to accept or decline their results. Atleast that is what I know. Goodluck!
  6. My grad school award officers won't tell me about the outcome of my results. They I should expect an email directly from NSERC by April 30th. I am not even gonna bother to think deep about what that is supposed to mean. Damnn, they are cold ? Anyways, I have waited for over 7 months, I think I can wait for 1-3 more days.
  7. Unfortunately, my awards officer has an auto-response. They are busy and should expect a response between 1 to 3 business days lol
  8. At the moment, I wish they never had sent me the login to the portal(extranet). I feel so disappointed whenever I open it and sees nothing there. Lol
  9. Anybody else in Committee 179 (Chemistry) that got their results?
  10. Congratulations .... What is your committee? And first letter of your Last name?
  11. It should say "Received" which indicates NSERC has gotten your application. If it still says "Submitted" it probably didn't get pass your University competition
  12. Sounds like we are competing in the same committee. Chemistry from UoGuelph.
  13. Another one on twitter. Guys, it looks like they are definitely releasing the results tomorrow (Tuesday). Goodluck to everyone!
  14. They did heard back within 1-2 days of getting login information. Same thing to this years NSERC PDF applicants, they got their login info on the 27th Jan and got back decision on 29th Jan. So, I am guessing may be early next week.
  15. You are right, it could be alphabetical order. My last name starts with B and I got mine yesterday afternoon too around 4pm. I got everything, I logged in and its just an empty folder there. In case you are not receiving anything yet, may be you should check your junk folder too.
  16. It is totally understandable lol. They said they will release it "by April 30th, 2021" so it could be any moment from now. Even today is a possibility. This year, they sent an email to the NSERC PDF applicants on Jan 27th that they will release the results by Jan. 31st. Guess what? They released the results two days after on the 29th.
  17. I am a PhD student from UoGuelph too from the Chemistry department. Atleast in our department, we are required to take two graduate courses. Also, it is mandatory we do and pass the oral comprehensive exam in the second semester of our PhD studies. In terms of the comprehensive exams, it differs from program to programs. I know a collegue in Pyschology/Neuroscience who is in their second year (6th semester), almost entering their 3rd year PhD and still have not done their comprehensive exams. Anyways, I have been religiously rephreshing this page, my email and visiting the NSERC portal several times. I just want to get over it.
