  1. Has anyone heard from UMass Yet? I still haven't gotten any updates from them but I know some people got responses. I also contacted the program coordinator with Williams College and she said that decisions are starting to roll out now and will continue to do so up until the April 15th deadline. Hopefully, the news comes sooner rather than later, I have a program I want to give a response to but it would be nice to evaluate other possible offers as well.
  2. This is helpful since I haven't heard anything from UMass. Hopefully they'll send out something to everyone else soon. I won't get my hopes up since it sounds like they have contacted the people they are admitting but you never know. I do think it's odd they accepted you without any real funding offer besides the hope you get full funding when students decide not to enroll. That's a big risk to take though as most funded students will wait to respond as they evaluate their options until the April 15th deadline.
  3. Yeah, I just got the notification about Boulder today. Boulder was a backup program for me as I live in Salt Lake City and was hoping to expand my network by moving a bit further away. It's a great program though, but I didn't feel as though it was the perfect fit for me. I also really want a lot of practice based learning as well for curating and maybe they felt they couldn't support that as well. But that's great news about getting an interview, I hope things work out for you!
  4. Hello Everyone! I'm a bit late to this thread, but I'm curious where everyone is at with acceptances to schools, especially Williams College. Since I am late I'll give you some background. I applied to 8 Masters Programs, UMass Amherst, University of St. Thomas, UC Boulder, University of South Florida, University of Kentucky (Curatorial MFA), Tufts, Williams, and Bard College (Curatorial MA). I have been accepted to: the University of South Florida (Fully Funded W/ Stipend) & University of Kentucky (Fully Funded W/ Stipend). Rejected from: UC Boulder I'm still waiting on all the other schools. I hope they reply soon as I have decision deadlines for my accepted programs on April 15th, which seems to be the standard with many schools. I hope everyone else is having luck with getting into their programs.
  5. Hello, I'm looking for a good master's program in Art History that focuses on art crime and provenance of artworks. I'm hoping I can find something that will give me experience to track down lost and stolen works or verify and authenticate the origins and originality of artworks. I'm hoping to get into questions and conversations about ethics with museums, foreign policy and laws, along with other memorandums and treaties signed that affect the status of artworks. I know this is very specific, I'm not sure if there are a lot of programs out there for this, but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. I also happen to have an anthropology degree which helps with the forensics side of things when it comes to some of these issues. I find the study of behaviors of humans very interesting as well, which is why I think studying provenance, and theft is interesting to not only obtaining stolen works back, but to understand the social, political, and environmental pressures that could have led to the sticky provenance or outright hijacking of artworks.
