  1. Does anyone know when JHU Epi (PhD) interviews finished? Or will finish?
  2. Thanks for the replies. My inquiry was aimed at JHU Epi to be more specific, and am wondering if it's worth sending an email to the department about when we should expect to hear back or get a little more info on interview dates (ie when is the last date).
  3. Does anyone know why some batches of people get official rejections while others receive interview invites, and some remain 'under review' for who knows how long only to probably (lets be real) get rejected way later? Why the 'under review' for so long?
  4. I just wore a black turtleneck (dressed "smart") and comfy pants on the bottom LOL. It's 2022, the NEED for woman suits are so outdated.
  5. Has anyone ever heard of someone getting admitted to a PHD at Harvard PHS without an interview?
  6. Anyone heard from JHU (CVD and Clinical Epi) and Harvard (Clinical Epi)?
  7. oh wow - so people could be accepted into the program without meeting anyone on faculty/no interview? That is so strange. I wonder why some receive an interview, and others will not. edit:was this for the epi track?
  8. Thats insane! How did it go? Did they mention anything about interview timelines?
  9. Nope, haven't heard from anywhere. It's honestly weird. I don't take it as good news though.
  10. For those rejected by JHU in Epi, did you receive a formal rejection email? Or was it assumed since no interview??
  11. It may be worth reaching out/sending an email for clarifications. They are usually pretty good at clearing that up.
  12. Womp, that's depressing haha. Is this for the clinical epidemiology track? That's what I applied to.
  13. Any news on Clinical Epi PHS from Harvard? Or Cardiac Epi track from JHU? Also long shot but PhD Epi at Cambridge? I am losing it! haha
  14. Does anyone know how candidates are selected/the unis approach for this? Are all candidates reviewed by the GC committee? Or just the ones that the uni has shortlisted?
  15. Oh hmm.. Here's to hoping!! I assume if nothing next week then it's a no go
  16. Man I'm starting to lose all hope. One rejection from Oxford and doesn't look good for these either haha. It's my first time applying so this is a nice reality check
  17. If we haven't heard from Harvard or JHU re: interviews for the epi tracks, should we be worried?
  18. Just saw. Very curious as to who that was and must know their stats. hahah
  19. not that I've seen, so it seems as though invites are not happening early Jan this year as we are already mid Jan..
  20. It seems to not be following the same order this year as there have been very few invites from Harvard in PHS, especially in epidemiology...
  21. Saw the same and was curious. I applied to Clinical epi in PHS at Harvard and haven't heard anything. Can't tell if it's a bad sign or just gotta wait haha
  22. I would say go for it but preface that you already applied and hope you are successful this round, but if not, would love to try again next year/help on any current projects with said PI if that is of interest to them.
  23. Anybody applying for Epi PhDs hear back?? this is killing me
  24. I also applied to Vilcek... no interview invite. I had connected with lots of faculty beforehand who had really boosted my confidence so I'm a little surprised.
