  1. I would retake it and try to get your verbal score up.
  2. If you haven’t gotten a decision yet I would email the Director of Grad Admissions. You are probably waitlisted.
  3. Unfortunately those of us on the waitlist probably won’t hear back until mid to late March. I imagine many admitted students are waiting until the visit weekend/the rest of their decisions to roll in before accepting or rejecting WUSTL’s offer. You could always reach out to the DGS to ask about waitlist length/how much they use the waitlist, but they may be vague with their answer, as it seems most programs are when it comes to waitlist stuff.
  4. Finally rejected from Stanford - short, generic rejection letter in the portal. Aside from my waitlists my cycle is pretty much closed. A huge weight lifted off my shoulders.
  5. Waitlisted at UNC, not rejected. I reached out to the Director of Grad Admissions for a status update as I still hadn't heard anything as of yesterday.
  6. I wonder what’s taking Stanford so long to release rejections. In the past they’ve been sent out on the same day as acceptances.
  7. I would like for this cycle to be over now
  8. Did you get an email or was it just a portal update?
  9. I think it depends on the school. For instance, my current university does not close/give off for Presidents Day.
  10. I assume you're talking about Rochester? It was the very first school I put on my list - I'm ecstatic!
  11. If you haven't heard back from UNC I think it's safe to assume rejection. In past years they have released all of their acceptances at once and then all of their rejections at once in late February/early March. It's a crappy way of doing things, but there's nothing we can do about it.
  12. DC is fairly expensive. You would definitely have to stretch the stipend pretty thin. If you're set on American you should apply for some extra fellowship money, or see if there are opportunities for you in the department that could increase the amount they pay you.
  13. I would say if you haven't heard back from schools that have sent both acceptances and rejections, I would bet that you're waitlisted (though I'm sure that isn't always the case, just a bet). Just hang in there. You absolutely shouldn't lose hope yet. 4 rejections out of 15 applications isn't the end of the world at all! As others have said - you only need one.
  14. Waitlisted at WUSTL as well
  15. Oh really? That's good news - we'll see how it goes. I am just tired at this point lol. Despite my rejections I couldn't be happier with how this cycle has gone but holy cow has this past year taken a mental toll.
  16. My guess is late next week.
  17. Welp. Anyone claiming the UNC acceptance? If so I think I can safely assume rejection. UNC typically sends rejections at the beginning of March.
  18. It would be nice if they kept us in the loop lol
  19. So I'm assuming no acceptance or rejection at this point means... waitlist? Maybe?
  20. Anyone claiming that WUSTL acceptance?
  21. So I guess no WUSTL news today?
  22. I’m still waiting
  23. If they don’t release in the remaining days of the week, I fully expect WUSTL and UNC to release early next week. I don’t think Stanford will start releasing decisions until the last week of February/first week of March.
  24. Maybe a waitlist decision is coming? I don't think I saw any waitlist claims on the results page.
