  1. Hey all, I was just wondering if anyone knew or heard anything both good and bad about the masters in IO from Columbia? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks!
  2. Hey All, I wanted to make a group for all I/O applicants for the fall 2011 season. If you are applying to either PhD or MA programs feel free to post your schools so that we can all stay connected and up to date. Thanks.
  3. Keep in mind that even a b.a. from a average school could give someone a million dollar a year job. While the average pay scales are the same, ultimately it will come down to your own personal job. Do you want to work in private practice or academia. Do you want to work at a Fortune 500 company or for the government?. Averages are a tough way to go because it is so vague so think about what you want to do post graduation and you can narrow down on a better answer.
  4. I am applying to both PhD and masters programs. Part of it is due to the competitive nature of PhD programs but also some great schools only have masters programs. Ultimately I want to just have as many options as possible to choose from.
  5. Hey All, I have recently learned that some of the schools for the programs I am applying to (phd in I/O) require the subject exam for their consideration. I was just wondering if anyone who has taken in the past has any tips or tricks to receive a higher score. Any advice would be very helpful. Thanks. Cory
  6. Rather than start a new thread I decided to piggie-back off of this when. I am going to be a senior applying for I/O phd programs and was wondering if anyone had an advice or schools that they thought would be within my range. I have roughly a 3.6 gpa, 3.4 in my major from a top 50 school (public). I did not take the psych subject test yet but got a 1280 on my GRE (750-Q 530-V) I have been doing research at school for many years and am looking at schools primarily on the eastern coast but I will go anywhere. If anyone has any ideas on schools I could apply to or if they think I would be a serious candidate I truly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
