  1. I interviewed for UNC BBSP that weekend and I got my official acceptance last week (Feb 4th). I believe they do rolling admissions so that may play into it too.
  2. I just got the call back from Yale MMPP inviting me to the recruitment weekend in February! So either I'm accepted or waitlisted haha, he did say that in recent years all that have been waitlisted have been offered acceptance so I shouldn't worry too much about it but he didn't say if I was one or the other.
  3. Honestly... Do you mind me asking what track you interviewed with?
  4. I was asked primarily about my research. I got the general questions regarding tell me about yourself, why this program, why a PhD, what are you looking for in a lab, my research interests and what I would want to study in the program, potential faculty I might be interested in working with, and do you have any questions for me. I did get a question about prior teaching experience and the importance of teaching which I thought was interesting. Overall it was very conversational and really kind of fun to be able to talk to all of the people. It was only 30 minutes per interview but I could have easily talked to them for longer.
  5. Quick update, I had my first interview today and it went a lot better than I was expecting! It was really quite enjoyable and fun to be able to speak with the faculty. I definitely shouldn't have stressed as much as I did before hand haha
  6. I should note that I got an invitation to interview with Yale BBS MMPP last Friday! Thanks for the insight though!
  7. I have seen some people report things for one Yale BBS track but I haven't seen anything for MMPP
  8. Hey all, I felt like I should introduce myself since I've been watching this thread like a hawk haha I'm a senior getting a BS in biochemistry from a medium sized private university in the US (shouldn't be hard to guess if you google my username lol). I have a 3.97 GPA and I didn't take the GRE. I have 2+ years of academic research lab experience. I spent a summer interning at a pharmaceuticals company R&D lab and since last summer I have been an employee/intern at the NIH in one their extramural offices. I have one review publication where I'm third author and I have two other research publications in the works. I also have three (I'm assuming strong) LORs from my PI, thesis advisor/mentor, and my boss at the NIH. I applied to ten schools for a PhD in mid November. Yale BBS MMPP, Harvard BBS, UNC BBSP, Duke CMB, Emory BCDB, UT Austin CMB, UTSW BBS, BCM DDMT, U Washington Seattle M3D, Northwestern Driskill Program. Thus far I have gotten interview offers from UNC, BCM and Emory.
