Anyone has heard from Vanderbilt? JHU? Am I to assume these two are rejections?

Has anyone heard back from U Chicago, Vanderbilt, Northwestern, Columbia, or JHU?

The sad part is that UNC was my backup school! I guess I am F… it goes to show that being cocky is never a good thing! Although, honestly I was not being cocky.

I just received an email from BU and they said that all interviews have been sent out. They mentioned that my application is still of interest to them but, it depends on space availability. So please those of you who have been accepted, if you are not intending on attending BU let them know ASAP so that they can offer me and people in my position an offer as well. Thank you!

Yes, it is possible and after finishing theMS they will transfer you to the PhD if you are in good standing.

Don’t worry about not getting into some schools… it’s not the reputation of a school that makes a grad student strong, it’s the research and the quality at which you conduct it that gives you the reputation as a capable scientist that employers are after. ???

It’s understandable that you don’t have publications. Do you have any research experience such as REUs and what not?
