  1. COngrats on the GSA position offer! I personally was worried about doing a TA/RA/GSA since I have heard some instances of students working well over 40 hrs/week, and hardly making anything. I know some companies offer paid PhD internships or positions you could try to apply to one of those, as they may pay better.
  2. Hey, thank you! No funding, but Ill be able to keep working 30ish hours a week at my company (a CRO) and theyll pay for a good amount of it. In state tuition is extremely reasonable there, so I am hoping I can secure that!
  3. Finally decided on UThealth, It was my gut to go with them when I first got in, but I wanted to wait until I heard back from everywhere else!! Good luck to all of those still deciding!!
  4. I reached out to the epi program on the 10th and they told me decisions would be out in a week or two, so hoping for later this week
  5. Tulane just got back to me and said they expect to have decisions out in the next week or two!
  6. Just reached out to Tulane (where I got my masters) to see when they may have decisions out. The wait is killing me, and I want to be able to make a decision and finally know where I'll be living for the next couple of years!!! ?
  7. Has anyone heard from Tulane epi? I got my masters there and have been in touch with some professors, but have not heard anything in regards to admissions yet
  8. Hey, I have been talking with the school. Looks like scholarships will be announced before april 15, other than that it depends on your advisor and if a PhD stipend is written into the research grant. They also keep telling me that I can do a TA/GRA ship for 20-40 hours a week, but I may consider just keeping my current job and scaling back to part time since it will be (much) better paid haha
  9. Hi everyone, I just had my first interview yesterday at UT for the epi program! I am very excited about it and got a non formal acceptance during the interview! I am still waiting to hear from Tulane (where I got my masters), Colorado, Boston, JHU, NYU, George Mason, Brown, Colombia, UNC, and Vanderbilt
