Congrats to all the USC admissions!
-
Well - that seems to differ quite a bit between countries and even universities. In Germany, where I got my legal education, the first half of law school is really a political science program where - yes, you acquire the ability to comprehend the law, but mostly you learn the philosophical, historical and economical foundations and the foundations of law making policy. What you study here isn't 'Law' and you're not going to 'Law School' - the program is called 'Legal Sciences'.
-
I think you are legally required to be bad at math to get into law school. Here in Germany you are banned from doing any math once you are accepted into law school. IP Laywer here.

If you haven't gotten a rejection yet, I would assume you're still on the waitlist. Good sign I suppose.
-
Sorry to hear that it apparently didn't work out for you this cycle - you may want to check this thread for the next one:
-
I'm waiting for Bloomington too.
-
Has anyone of you received an acceptance into Arizona State University? I have seen a couple of rejections in the list but no acceptances yet. Looks like they are rolling up the field from the back.
-
Anyone of you claiming the acceptance to IU Bloomington? Hell of a GPA.
-
I don't know about the others but Bloomington has historically sent out acceptance emails around 17-18th of February. Could happen this week.
-
Congrats!!
-
Cool - Thank you very much. Are you planning on attending? I see you've been accepted in Missouri too?
-
Interesting. Did they say anything else?
-
Awesome!! Congrats!
-
We'll have to write much more then.
-
Thanks for the feedback. I've applied in November too. Let's see what's gonna happen - and when.
-
Awesome - congrats!
-
I'd be interested in the reply from UGA. Did you get an acceptance from Georgia yet? I think there was someone who got accepted pretty early in January but I haven't heard anything since.
-
So far the replies were very friendly. I think they know that we're kinda excited and would like to know more. ...I just wouldn't email them multiple times over the same question.
-
Woohoo! Congrats!

According to this link with a database of decisions till 2020 you can expect something in mid or late February. https://martindevaux.com/2020/11/political-science-phd-admission-decisions/

From what I've read so far, you can accept an offer and still go to a different school if you get a better offer over there. It's a bit frowned upon because it creates more work of course - but they can't keep you there if you want to go somewhere else.
-
Exactly. Just one and I'm happy and relaxed. It's not fun whatsoever to start a cycle with rejects only.
-
Monday was a boring day too. Then Princeton started sending mails, right? ?
-
I totally think they should be. I don't really get why they say on their website that we can 'expect decisions 4-6 weeks after the application deadline' - and here we are, shivering 9 weeks later.
