  1. UNL acceptances seem to be all over the place - but some on the 13th and 14th of February. So that might even work out. Fingers crossed.
  2. That's something. I haven't applied at your schools so I don't know when they usually send out their emails - do you have an idea which ones you should have heard from till next week?
  3. Yeah - makes sense. How many days do you have left till you have to accept the offer? I'm just sitting here, hoping for any kind of positive signal. ?
  4. Oh - wow. I thought that was illegal. That's frustrating. But at least you have an offer.
  5. Understandable. But in the end - you only need one acceptance, right?
  6. I think Emory does the same.
  7. Congrats! Congrats to you as well. Turns out the day wasn't over yet after all! Woohoo!
  8. Congrats! You still have some more to go and will have heaps of schools to choose from!
  9. Congrats. Man - you're balling.
  10. Sounds great. I live on discord half the day - but it seems to me like it's more of a gaming and geek kind of plattform.
  11. I'm in. Woohoo! Anxiety FTW. At least it's weekend now and I don't have to reload browser windows religiously for two days.
  12. Man - you're like - the perfect spy. Do you have insights into UNT, ASU or FSU by any chance? ?
  13. Thanks a lot for the insight. You've gotta be real though - nobody in this thread is gonna relax anytime soon. ?
  14. For German universities, you basically have no chance getting a PhD advisor if you haven't already had contact with the professor in an academic capacity. If you want to get a PhD here, it's usually right out of school, after you're done with your masters. It's really difficult to get back in if you have done any commercial work after your masters and basically impossible if you come with a masters from anywhere else but this professor you want to write your thesis under. That's one of the reasons why you see many germans at US universities - they just don't have another chance to get their PhD if they didn't decide to get it right after their masters. That being said - University is pretty much free here and there is no financial reason not to just get your masters or a second masters degree in germany and go into your phd right away. It's usually unstructured too so you might be able to get a PhD in 2-3 years after your masters if you don't do anything else.
  15. Let's hope for the best.
  16. Well - there is a Berkeley acceptance in the list again. Is it real? Who knows...
  17. I don't think they did. They just said the usual mambo jumbo about having an amazing pool of applicants but only a limited number of spots and stuff like that. Very long but sort of generic email with the 8 spots available as only real information. I did ask what the application was lacking and how to make it stronger for next year - they didn't say anything about that. It's very nice that they replied at all though.
  18. Congrats!! That's awesome! They told me that they only had 8 spots for this cycle. And you got one!!
  19. Congrats to all the new acceptance letter recipients. I'm still sitting here, hoping.
  20. I'd be excited too. So far there have only been rejections. Would have been nice to start the cycle out with a random acceptance mail instead and getting the rejections later.
  21. That would be plausible if there would be an outlier or two every once in a while - but there isn't. These outliers only appear in February. And since for basically every other program there is at least a person or two posting in the forum but not for Princeton, that implies that there is something wrong with those claims.
  22. Congrats! That's awesome!
  23. I think usnews is the most common.
  24. Congrats to your UGA acceptance! Great school and actually one of my favorites. Have you made up your mind yet as to where you want to go? I see you were accepted to GWU as well?
